Good day all, I've noticed a very annoying bug with my terrain when i'm using MSAA. That is all options for it. When i change it to SSAA, the problem is gone. I've attached a image showing what i mean. It almost looks like thousands of small rivers in the terrain! https://imgur.com/a/I2Di7Ib Enlarge the photo, and in the gap between the clouds you can see the issue.

Hello all! I've noticed that on P3D i am getting random, completely black flashing. It is only when I'm on an outside view of a PMDG aircraft, but didn't want to post it in the PMDG section because i wasnt sure if that was the root cause of it. There is no flashing in the Cockpit, only outside. It's not the scenery, but the whole screen. PC Specs: i7-4770k CPU @ 3.5ghz GTX 1080 16GB RAM Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

Sorry, changed my name. I'm on P3D V4.2 and the startup situation is default. I then change the aircraft, airport and time as usual, click ok. It loads to 100%, then crashes.

Good day everyone, For the past couple days, i've been having an issue where the PMDG 747 crashes on start up. The sim will load to 100%, but then crash. The 737 and FSLabs A320 work absolutely fine with no issues. I haven't installed any new scenery in this time, and have tried loading the aircraft at several locations, with the same outcome. I have read that the issue might be caused by a Windows Update, but to my knowledge i haven't seen the computer update recently. I have reinstalled the aircraft several times, and reinstalled the P3D Client and Content, with no hope. If anyone has suggestions or diagnosis, it would be must appreciated.\ Thanks, Adrian

Good day all! I've just bought ENVSHADE and have downloaded ENVDIR, however, when i try and open it - it doesn't work. I run it as an administrator, the loading screen comes up, but then becomes a lighter blue and crashes. I've tried a reinstall, and have turned off my Antivirus with no hope. Help is much appreciated, Adrian

Good day all, I've recently decided it finally time to make the move to P3D from FSX. So, today i've been moving addons over to P3D. During a test, i realized that Chaseplane wasn't loading on startup of the sim, so i ran the .exe file to manually start it. When i did, a dialog box came up saying "an unexpected error as occurred :/" and that a log has been sent to FSFX packages. After clicking ok to acknowledge it, another pops up saying that it will revert Chaseplane to an older, stable version so that im not stop in an "infinite loop of death", which obviously doesn't work as it happens everytime i load it up. Chaseplane no longer works on FSX nor P3D. I've tried a reinstall of both Chaseplane and VFX Central with no hope. I've heard this glitch has occurred in previous versions. Any help is appreciated, Adrian

Excellent, i'll do some more research on GPU's. I'll probably never upgrade to P3D if i'm honest, as i've put too much money into FSX at this time. Thanks for your help!

1080p, Surround (using NVIDIA Control Panel and FSX

Good day all! Recently (the past 2 months), i've been having a lot of problems with my 3 screen setup. I currently have a GTX770. During a flight (on the ground or in the air) my GPU usage sometimes gets to 100%, when this happens, i get 2 fps in the sim. Today i was experimenting on how to fix it, and found that by moving the sim to 1 monitor fixed the issue. The Usage and fps was fixed. 2 monitors was also fine, it was only at 3 that it went to sh*te. So, my question is, do i upgrade my GPU to a GTX1070 (my worry is that it won't actually fix the issue) or do i get rid of the 3 screen setup and get one big curved monitor. After locking my framerates using Nvidia inspector, it seems a lot more smoother, and more stable, thanks so much!! Adrian

Thanks so much, really did give a lot of information! I will have to be very careful from now on, and will probably have to restart my flight after a couple hours to make sure i don't run out of memory. Once again thanks so much! Adrian

Once again, another problem with FSX, they just won't stop! I've done two long hauls in the past two weeks, and have had the same problem each time, where after about 3hrs, FSX starts to freeze up for about 15 secs, unfreeze, continue for about 5 secs then freeze again. I did one of these flights in the PMDG 777 and the other in the 747 v3, si it's not the plane. I have only recently had this problem, as recent as the time i've turned on the FSUIPC autosave feature, and i have a feeling it might be the problem. I have my FPS set to unlimited, with no external limiter, which i've heard could cause this as well. I will do some more experimenting, but if anyone has any ideas, it would be great. Thanks Adrian

Thanks very much for your research, however i manually did this to see if the extra power would help me gain speed, which as you can see didn't work lol! Thanksf very much again, appreciate your help Right, will try that after this flight. Now, i think i may have figured out an easier fix however. I realized that just before i started to climb normally, i went into the FSUIPC to check what axes i have assigned, then simply clicked ok. When i returned to the flight i think this is when i started to climb normally, so will also experiment with this. What must i rename the FSUIPC.ini? Thanks very much for the help!

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling by first going to "Programs and Features" and uninstalling it there, then simply reinstalling, is that a full reinstall? Also, i have an update: I've just done something, which i have no idea what, but i'm not at 345kt and 24,000 ft and climbing well. So can't be anything to do with the install, i must be doing something wrong. Do you know if they GoFlight MCPro autopilot system has anything to do with it? Indeed they are. Hi there! I have this problem where my PMDG 747 V3 won't gain speed and climb. I've got LNAV and VNAV, low fuel and low payload with no luck. When my autopilot puts me at level flight to try and gain speed my nose is pointing at 8 degrees down... http://imgur.com/a/4NakR

Hi everyone! Today i got new TQ6 throttles from Go Flight, and they're great! Expect for one little thing, when trying to set the power to idle (putting the throttles all the way down on the quadrant) the power in the simulator is still up, at about 40% N1. If i look down at the in game throttles, they're not fully idle. I'm not sure why this is. if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Adrian EDIT: Ok, well fixed it by doing something in the controls section of %appdata%/Microsoft/FSX/Controls, but now i can't get idle power in the air, only about 35% N1, i have a feeling this is normal and realistic. I'm using PMDG 737.

Long while ago, i know. But did you move Open LC under FTX England in the fsx scenery library or in the insertion points of FTX Central?

Hi all, and thanks for coming to my forum! This has been happening for a while, and after many trial and errors with changing settings (turning them all the way up, back down, medium, some up and some down etc.) I've almost given up. After a flight, and it doesn't matter how long, quite often the airport terminals disappear on landing. The jetways and AI traffic are there, as well as taxiway and runway markings, just simply no terminals. Which is weird considering the default airport i took off from was perfectly fine. This doesn't happen all the time, but too often, enough times to get me annoyed. It even sometimes affects my payware scenery. For example, i just did a flight from Halifax to Toronto, landed with FlyTampa Toronto, and the Sheraton hotel was missing, as well as completely transparent glass from the terminal, in which i could see the taxiway on the other side. Since it was payware, the terminals were still there, i guess it's just affected in different ways than default scenery. I originally thought it's from FSX simply not being able to handle the settings, since it can only use so much of the PC's CPU, and instead of OOM, which it's done a bit more recently, it simply throws the terminal buildings out the window to save it from crashing on approach/landing. I've never actually seen them initially disappearing, so i'm not sure when it would occur, in flight, on approach etc. However, like i said, i've tried turning my settings way down and it still occurs, so maybe it's not OOM. The PC used was quite high end when we got it about 4 years ago, however not really anymore, especially how we've got 1000x as many addons as we did then.
