  1. Hi Craig. That explains everything, I understand now that some keys are not assignable and its not just a fault with my setup. Thanks again David Hope
  2. Hi, Just downloaded 747/400X and in both my cockpit and virtual cockpit the N1 displays and EGT displays are sized incorrectly. The N1 display extends down too far down and mixes with the EGT display. I also have the same problem with the N2 display. I have uninstalled and re-installed but still the same effect. I have the 737ngx and no problems with any displays on that aircraft. Is this a problem with my screen definition. Thanks for any advice David Hope
  3. Hi, Sorry about that, I was just wondering because I had the FS9 747/400 and could assign all my keyboard with no problem. I take it there is no way I can assign the page-up or page-down keys etc. Thanks for all your help David Hope
  4. Hi, Can anybody help. I have been using the 737NGX for quite some time and have many keyboard commands set up which work fine. I have just installed the 747/400X and am creating keyboard shortcuts I am trying to assign the same keys as I have used on my 373NGX, namely "home - end - insert - page-up - delete - page-down keys". I can assign these keys, but when I try to use them in the virtual cockpit there is no response. I can assign other keys such as all the alphabet and the number keys not the ones mentioned. Dose anybody know the reason for this. Any help appreciated Scorpio1
  5. HI Thanks for all your comments regarding my problem This is a new computer and I was told that it would be ok for Flight Simulators but I don't think the shop had much understanding or experience regarding fs9 or fsx. They installed the "AMD Radeon R7 200 series but I am wandering if that could be the cause of my problem. Do you think another card could make the system more stable. I apologise, I don't know much about how computers run and what can cause conflicts. Thanks again. Scorpio1
  6. Hi I have been using fs9 with windows XP for a long time with fantastic results. I used UK2000 scenery and PMDG 737 and 747 and never had any problems. I now have a new 64Bit with Windows 7 machine as shown below: O/S Windows 7 Quad Core Processor: Intel ® Core i5-4430 CPU @ 3.00 GHZ 3.00GHZ Ram: 8.00GB System Type: 64Bit Intel ® Graphics 4600 AMD Radeon R7 200 Series I have installed FS9 into my root C/ directory but the simulator is constantly crashing with the error message "Flight Simulator has stopped working" If I start a flight and leave it running it seems to be ok but as soon as I use the menu bar to adjust anything the crash happens. I know there are many people using 64Bit and Windows 7 with FS9. I have also attempted to install FSX and exactly the same thing happens. I don't know much about computers and am very frustrated with this. In the events viewer it says the problem is related to "igdumdim32.dll. Is this a graphics card problem. The shop where the computer was built for me say the problem is old software with new hardware. Is there anybody that can help me with this problem. Many thanks for any help. Scorpio1
