  1. Thanks chaps, I reckon I'll give the water cooler a miss then. Just need to wait until there are some Mac drivers for the 1080 (this PC is Mac OS for work, Windows for fun).
  2. I've got an i7 3770K that's stable at 4.4 GHz, which is the maximum I've been able to get it on air cooling. I was wondering, since I'm quite tempted to buy a GTX 1080 to replace my current 2x GTX 670 SLI cards, is there any point in also buying a water cooler and taking the CPU higher? I assume it's a fairly good chip if I've been able to get it that high on air, but if I could get another 300-400 MHz or whatever, would that make any appreciable difference? Water coolers are expensive!
  3. I've tried it a couple of times since and there have been no problems. It's as though having the aircraft restart like it did after the last crash somehow reset it. I have various CH Products controllers, and they often don't show up in the P3D controls menu, even though they work fine. Sometime's they're there, then I'll go back into the menu during the same session and the only thing listed is 'mouse yoke'. It's a flaky piece of software.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. Autopilot definitely wasn't on and I checked outside to make sure the control surfaces were as they should be. But just now I crashed once again, and when I reloaded the engine was switched off (it's usually running). Starting up from that state, the aircraft behaved as normal.
  5. After not loading P3D for a few weeks, a really strange thing happened to my default Maule M7. I used to find it the easiest aircraft to fly, so I'm very familiar with it - it was the one I used in about 60% of my flights. Now, though, I can barely get it above tree height. Almost as soon as it's off the ground, it starts to lose lift and yaws to the left, as if something is stuck. Every flight ends in a sideways crash within 20 seconds. No other aircraft behave like this, so I don't think my controllers are at fault. Is there any way to reset a 'broken' plane? Can such a thing even happen?
