  1. I have another feature to consider forfuture development. Given that the app is already creating a folder for each of the approach reports, it would be helpful if there were an output file with the raw data being captured, If in a format that could be interpreted by humans, such as a comma-separated variable file, users could identify precisely in the approach where the approach report indicates deviations. Thank you.
  2. Hi Mark, I did a couple of approaches last night, and I'm finding the grading to be much for realistic. Hi Stu, I can verify that you're simply that good. Flight Monitor points out when my centerline control needs work. Thank you, Craig
  3. Hi Mark, I won't have a chance to check out your new build until Friday night, but look forward to doing so. Thanks for the great development work, Craig
  4. Hello, I've flow a few flights with Flight Monitor and really enjoy it. I like that it's always running and saves each landing to a new file so that I may compare them later. I'd like to suggest things to consider in future versions: - Increase the vertical speed limit in the last 500' of the approach from 600 fpm. Using the rule of thumb that a 3 degree glide slope has a rate of descent of half of your ground speed, the 600 fpm constraint limits the ability to fly a "safe approach" to a ground speed of 120 knots. While this works for light aircraft, a commercial aircraft with approach speeds on the order of 140-150 knots will bust this rule. - Capture missed approaches: I flew an approach last night when I got behind the aircraft and needed a significant rate of descent to come down onto the glidepath. Approaching 1000' AGL when I knew I could't make a stable approach, I executed a go around. It would have been nice to have an approach report to show my how unstable I was and to validate my decision to go around. For the rest of the Aviaworx server, I hope that there are plans in work to incorporate the new Fly the MaddogX EFB. Thanks for the great flight sim tool/ Craig
  5. Thank you, Chapstick. I've been trying to sort this out for about a year, and your suggestion worked for me.
  6. @delefinchen, Did you have to purchase a whole new TQ6-ADV to get the 737 throttle handles, or may one just purchase the handles for the original TQ6 and get the button functionality? Thank you, Craig
  7. Yes, Keven. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you, Craig
  8. Hello, I remain amazed and impressed by the continuous development of Chase Plane. An issue that I've had with FSX/P3D in general in inadvertent selection of the Context Menu, which shows a pop up menu containing Cockpit, Outside, ... when I right click the screen. This is pronounced in complex aircraft that use the right mouse button to interact with controls. Is there a way to disable the right mouse button from launching the Context menu, either with a setting in P3D/FSX or as a feature in ChasePlane? I thought I saw this enabled in an early alpha of CP, but I haven't been able to find it in quite a while. Thank you, Craig
  9. Thanks for your recommendations. I'll reload the MAGVAR in P3D and retest and also relook at the VOR bearings that Jim described.
  10. I'm running PMDG 737 NGX version 1.10.6461 on P3D v3.3.5.17625. When recently flying the DIRTY3 STAR into Atlanta, I noticed that the VOR course lines, with the chart specified courses, do not line up with the track lines between two VORs on the STAR. The course between the Spartanburg (SPA) VOR and Foothills (ODF) VOR is about 254 degrees Magnetic. When I entered 254 into the MCP course windows for each VOR, the two course lines are parallel but non-colinear. I had to change the MCP course windows to 260 to make them overly the track between the VORs. It may be coincidental, but the magnitude of the difference between the charted course (254) and the course window entries that make the two course lines colinear is 6 degrees, which is close to the charted magnetic variation. I am certain that the ND is not plotting the courses at true bearings, since the true bearing equivalent of 254 degrees magnetic at 6 degrees West variation is 248 (using the mnemonic Can Dead Men Vote Twice at Elections: Magnetic + east Variation = True). I would appreciate the developers or other users testing to see whether this behavior exists in other contexts. Thank you, Craig Hutchinson
  11. Paul, I haven't done this yet for the 747, but have done something similar for the 777, 737, and A320. In general, I build my checklists from the Normal and Supplementary Procedures from the FCOM. For the preflight checklist, you'll likely find that doing the FO checklist followed by the Captain's checklist gives a pretty decent flow without too much redundancy. In both of the Boeing aircraft I've done, there is an Electrical Power Up supplementary procedure to accomplish if you start from a cold and dark state. Also, think about the best place in the checklist to set up the FMC. I tend to wait on doing that until a written checklist steps depends on the FMC, such as checking he flight instruments, which may require performance information to have been entered, such as on the 737. Since I fly on VATSIM, this also drives when I ask for an ATC clearance. You'll end up alternating between the FO and Captain checklists throughout the flight. I hope this helps, Craig
  12. Hello Ben, Your Cadet 777 videos have been a fantastic series which has really helped me to understand the aircraft, especially the ground checklists and the various autopilot modes and FMAs. I'm just finishing up watching videos #23 and 24, both of which have a wealth of information on PMDG configuration. As part of the customers' resource folder you have mentioned, would you consider including the content outlines for those two videos, which we could use as a springboard for further research? Thanks for a brilliant product, and I look forward to watching your next projects. Craig
  13. Hello Ben, Having purchased both of your Q400 video series, I ordered the 777 one when it came out. Watching video #2 on Simulator Setup, you mentioned an EZ-Dok 777 camera setup file in "members area in the downloads section," but I haven't been able to find it. Is that section online yet? Thanks for all of the hard work. I'm looking forward to watching the balance of the 777 videos as well as your future offerings. Thank you, Craig
  14. Hi Kevin, Thank you for considering my feedback. Sincerely, Craig
  15. Hello, This is a great piece of software! Would it be possible in a future release to adjust the UI for editing preset positions? While the current functionality of using the CTRL key and clicking the up and down "v"'s works functionally, I find that it's a bit tedious to move a preset a long distance in the list. Specifically, one has to move the mouse cursor each time the preset position adjusts. A welcome alternative might include one of the following options: 1. Drag the camera preset to its new position 2. Provide up and down "v" controls that in a constant position with respect to the ChasePlane window 3. Leave the position of the camera preset static and have the position of the other presets change with respect to the one that's intended to move. Thank you again for your development. Craig
