I personally use a usb controller that I had from Logitech (looks like an Xbox controller). They are fairly inexpensive and work well with ChasePlane.
Walmart actually carry them for $17 US online. Might pick one up myself :)

To Disable it from starting up with FSX, just change your exe.xml not the dll.xml file for the chaseplane node to look like this:
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>ChasePlane</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>
<Path>D:\ChasePlane\ChasePlane.exe</Path>
<CommandLine>FSX</CommandLine>
</Launch.Addon>
I am working on a video and have preset views that I need which ChasePlane excel at. I will wait patiently because it is worth it. Besides, once they see this failure, I am sure they will place some safeguard in place for the future. That is what I would do if it were my shop.
I think it saves your settings in the cloud. A good trade off would be to cache the settings locally if the online settings are not available. I not sure that it validates your license every time but if it does it would certainly be an issue if anything were to happen to their server like today. The IP address used by chaseplane is out of a server hosted in Montreal.
I hope they peek at the forum before going out for Sunday brunch. :)
Hi Keven,
Just got it to work by changing the options to "Auto Launch with P3Dv3" and restarting everything. Sounds like some similar situation as Captain Scott.
I am good to go now. Great product. Thank you.

I first want to say that I love ChasePlane and ditched my EZDOK. It works great for creating my videos however I am not able to have it working with my trackIR. I have tried numerous things including uninstalling TrackIR and Re-installing. I also tried the different things mentioned in this thread. My trackIR does have the game updates with the FSFX profile. I still get TrackIR and ChasePlane fighting each other. Any help would be appreciate.
