  1. Does anyone know if Microsoft intends to support SimConnect in the new 2020 Simulator or will it have a new network connection interface? If users who want to network computers using Microsoft FS 2020 and SimConnect (if they intend to use it) have the same problems that so many users have experienced connecting computers with Windows 10 since they removed WORKGROUP, I fear FS2020 will die on the vine. I have spent thousands of hours ( that was THOUSANDS ... YES THOUSANDS !!!!) and money upgrading hardware trying to get SimConnect to work to no avail and it all started when Microsoft removed WORKGROUP. I think I would have given up Flight Simming altogether had it not been for FSUIPC. (THERE IS NOTHING MORE MADDENING THAN HAVING AN ITCH YOU CANT SCRATCH). I thoroughly enjoy my flight simulator and I am looking forward to FS2020 but the pain I suffered struggling with SimConnect was almost too much to bear and I don't want to go through that again. (MICROSOFT PLEASE TAKE NOTE).
  2. Can I have two multi monitor boards (Cards) of different Model numbers to enable 6 monitors instead of just three. I would like to mix a 1080 board with a 980ti board in the same computer. I thought I'd better ask first before blowing up my boards <grin>. Suggestions would be very helpful. My power supply is 1000 watts.
  3. In the CONTINUING SAGA of trying to get SimConnect working I am going back to basics. Using ONE pc only. My Simconnect.XML is located here: C:\Users\Terry\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 it has this structure: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows=1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1.0"> <Descr>SimConnect Server Configuration</Descr> <Filename>SimConnect.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <SimConnect.comm> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Protocol>IPv4</Protocol> <Scope>global</Scope> <MaxClients>64</MaxClients> <Address>192.168.50.200</Address> <Port>4506</Port> <MaxRecvsize>4096</MaxRecvsize> <DisableNagle>False</DisableNagle> </SimConnect.Comm> </SimConnect.Comm> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Protocol>Auto</Protocol> < Scope>local</Scope> </SimConnect.Comm> <SimBase.Document> My Simconnect.ini file is located here: C:\Users\Terry\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files It has this structure; [SimConnect] level=verbose console=1 RedirectStdOutToConsole=1 OutputDebugString=1 file=c:\Users\Terry\Documents\Prepar3Dv4 Files\simconnect%03u.log file_next_index=0 file_max_indexz=9 When I run the Prepar3d Sim I am expecting a debug window to appear on my main console. I am getting nothing. Am I not supposed to get a debug window showing SIMCONNECT communication traffic? Will some simconnect expert please try to help me. I cant get anymore basic than this. This is my last attempt to get simconnect working. Please please help.
  4. Why dont add-on application designers use FSUIPC as a network interface rather than simconnect. FSUIPC usually works instantly across the network without problems whereas SIMCONNECT works great if you you dont have installation problems but if you do have installation problems you can forget it. Trying to trouble shoot SimConnect is a nightmare. The general attitude to SimConnect is, If it works ... GREAT!! if it doesn't work please dont even bother asking me. So my question is; why dont add-pn vendors us FSUIPC instead of SimConnect? I would really like to hear the reasons why. Let me use just one application as an example. Plan-G can be used across a network using either FSUIPC or SimConnect. If you connect using FSUIPC it works. If you use SimConnect it MIGHT work. Why dont other add-ons use the same approach?
  5. Help. I removed my anti-virus system completely and I am still getting this error message. I even tried placing the FS2Audio.dll file directly into the system32 folder myself but this didn't help either … (I have since removed it). The error message I get occurs when I run P3Dv4 and appears on the P3dv4 loading window and says "The FS2AUDIO.DLL Failed to load with Error Code 0x7e" Be sure the FS2AUDIO.DLL is in the \Windows\System32 folder then restart the application.
  6. Hello fs2crew … I am getting the error msg "missingFS2Audio.dll" please can you advise me. Terry

Intel 4 Core i7-4770K (Overclocked) to 4.6 GHz with 8 Logical Processors 2.16.0 GB Physical RAM 3. ASUS Z87 SABERTOOTH 4. OS x64 Based PC Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 5. Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Display Adapter 6. 1000 watt Corsair Power supply I would like to add the following Display adapter: 7. EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Classified Display adapter Can you reconfirm this additional display adapter for me please. Cheers Terry
  8. Can I add another high end video controller to my Sim without damaging it so that I can support more than 3 monitors?
  9. Thank you Dan for your reply and explanation. I have always used auto landings and have never used manual landings because I thought AUTO landings were the NORM!!!. I will try hand flying in from now on.. Thanks again.
  10. Hello PMDG .... what do I set my Landing altitude to for glideslope capture by auto pilot when the airport is not at sea level. Specifically KLAS is at 2122 ft but when I set my landing Altitude to 2000 ft (PMDG Tutorial 1) the plane crashes on landing. So when the airport is above sea level what should I set my landing altitude to please? This is when the auto pilot asks me to reset my altitude for the landing approach. Thank you for the help.
  11. Hello anybody ... I am looking to find VATSIM contacts in the Vancouver BC area who can share their experience with me. Please PM me if you are interested.
  12. Hi Ramjett ... thank you for your reply, your link and your advice .... Cheers
  13. I have been flying the 737-NGX for 2 years now programming the FMC to land at a given airport on a given runway. I can land to plane no problem using the auto pilot. My BIG problem is what do I do when ATC redirects me to land on a different runway than the one I programmed into the FMC. I don't have a clue on how to proceed. I need to know what steps I need to take to either reprogram the FMC to land on the runway ATC has instructed me to land on or the steps required to abort the FMC program and do a manual landing. While the current flight simulators are a wonderful tool and an awesome experience I have found it difficult to find a PROGRESSIVE learning path. I admit there is no one close to me who I can verbally ask questions of. Most of my time is spent scratching my head or on the Internet and YouTube searching for information that fits my particular requirements usually without success. The steps required to find solutions for "WHAT IF" scenarios is sadly lacking. It would be very nice if I could find someone experienced with whom I could correspond by e-mail with my questions or who lives in Vancouver Canada area. I am willing to share my simulator with anyone who is interested. PM me if you are interested.
  14. Hello FS2CREW ... I am a bit confused on how to install FS2CREW on my P3Dv4.1 installation for use with PMDG 737.NGX . I already purchased "FS2CREW NGX Reboot" for P3Dv3 last year (2016) but I never got around to installing it. I would like to install it now but I am not sure if I need to purchase a new copy of FS2Crew for P3Dv4.1 or if I just need to purchase an update (there seems to be many versions to choose from and I an not Shure what to pick). I would appreciate any help on what products I need to install FS2CREW on my P3Dv4.1 system running Windows 10.
  15. Hello PMDG ... I am using the latest version of the 737NGX and the latest version of P3Dv4. Here is my question: A warning tone sounds when I lower my under carriage (wheels) but stays on until I touch down. Is this normal? Is there a way to stop the warning tone once the wheels are down and locked? Sorry if this is Trivial ... I'm a bit new to this. Thank you
