Solutions

  1. baseleg16's post in Magneto / Starter Switches Stuck was marked as the answer   
    Stuck again!  I loaded up several add-ons and got the starter switches stuck again.  I switched airplanes to the Corsair F4U and that magneto switch was also frozen.
     
    Conclusion for now is that it is not a problem with the aircraft, but with my overloading RAM (16 gigabytes).
