  1. Adding another message to see if anyone from Carenado will reply. Just FYI, there are a grand total of 402 real M20R's registered in the USA to date, there are 1,406 M20J's still registered of the 1,634 built. Is there any interest from Carenado in supporting the M20J in either Prepar3d V5 or MSFS 2020? Even if it is a low fidelity update of the FS9 version?
  2. @dominikos unfortunately I have no replies from anyone. Considering building my own instruments for this, but I would be leery of sharing and potentially running afoul of licensing. I would much more appreciate Carenado porting the plane. I am sure there are many many more real life users of the M20J than the M20R.
  3. I am looking for this same information, did you ever discover how-to docs on fip guage development?
  4. I have imported the Carenado M20J from my Steam FSX into both Prepar3d V5 and MSFS2020 (note I imported into P3Dv5 first then from there into MSFS2020). Although the plane is (VFR) flyable, a great many of the instruments are missing from the dashboard. When I turn on content logging for prepar3d, it is quickly obvious that the issue is the gauges are all in 32 bit dlls (Money20F0.dll, Money20F1.dll, Money20F2.dll .... and RadioMoney.dll), and "A 64 bit version is required". Is it possible to recompile the Money M20J as 64 bit, so it fully works in P3Dv5 and msfs 2020? Note, I have purchased the newer Carenado Mooney's for P3Dv5 and MSFS2020, but I fly a M20J in real life and really am not interested in the higher horse power, glass cockpit versions of the Mooney.
  5. Nevermind, found the pinned topic [09MAR20] GTN Trainer download links last night, downloaded the old files and installed them. GTN 650 is working fine now.
  6. Apparently I had really bad timing (12/30/2020) in buying the Reality-XP GTN650 product, as every time I try to install it, it starts the install of Garmin GTN Trainer v2.7.1.0 which forces an upgrade to the GTN v3.0.0.0 trainer. Anyone have any idea when this will be fixed? If not, what is the refund path?
  7. I wish he had shared how it was fixed. Actually I have the same problem with my recently purchased Reality XP GNS 430 V2 not recognizing the buttons for my RealSimGear GNS 430 in Prepar3d V5. Their configuration documentation says to configure the Reality XP product to "Use Simulator GPS Commands" and shows the setup screen for the XP GTN 750 in Prepar3d, but the corresponding GNS 430 v2 setup screen does not have this option. I have emailed RealSimGear for assistance and will update this here if I get an answer. However, in the meantime, does anyone here know how to configure the GNS 430 V2 to use the simulator gps commands? Thanks Evan
  8. In the spirit of constructive input, having no idea if it is an issue or not - The deal breaker for me would be if lack of legacy third party hardware integration prevented me from using my thousands of dollars (not even including the PC and monitors) of hardware I have to simulate a real GA cockpit. The list of other things I hope Msft improves on is much longer than my arm, but would not be a deal breaker.
  9. School - Basic on some HP Mini using Cards w/ Pencil - Pascal, Fortran, Cobol, Assembler and C on some IBM (Cobol on Cards) - Assembler, ADA and some crazy language where you wrote a whole program on one line on a Unix Box (PDP/11??) Home - Basic / Forth on TI-99/4A - C++ on IBM OS/2 - A bunch of stuff on PC's IRL - Cobol / JCL, ABAP/4, Natural/Adabas on IBM 370 - C#, C++, Javascript .... on PCs Just started playing with Lua for hooking up hardware to P3D, jury is still out on that one.
  10. Reputable vendors of FSX software DO (I can show you examples) state when their software is not compatible with the current widely available version of FSX, which is FSX SE. I am very happy to hear though that they are working on a version that does work with FSX SE, I just do not want to pay twice to get a version that works.
  11. I did not see this post until after I purchased Reality XP GNS 530W XP/GNS WAAS today for $50. Obviously it does not work with my FSX SE. I was going to contact RXP / Flight 1 for a refund (the product page does NOT state it is incompatible), however I would be good with a free upgrade. Evan
