  1. Crazy that this was 18 months ago and I still have this problem. But surely there must be a solution? Default and other addons don't have this issue?
  2. Another alternative for scenery management (but it does an awful lot more!) is the payware SimstarterNG. Very powerful piece of software, can't live without it!
  3. Bought Pro today 1.28.0 and installed as Admin, outside Program Files. For use in latest version P3Dv5.1 On first loading program, get unhandled exception "Could not find part of the path c:\Users\(MYNAME)\Appdata\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d" . Can continue past this and get menu, but no models found (should find AIG), and get further unhandled error if try to save anything, or even if try to exit program. This is the correct path - except at end it should read Prepar3d v5. The folder contains all the necessary cfg and xml files. How can I resolve this please? Keith Hodkinson
  4. I'm glad this post was not deleted! Had the same problem when I upgraded P3d from v4.3 to 4.4. Spent literally hours checking other things, reinstalling the Dash etc, and it was the same issue, I must have inadvertently selected metric instead of hybrid for units of measure after my .cfg was rebuilt.
  5. Hi Is there any update on this topic now that the release is imminent? Thanks Keith
  6. Hi Keven First, thanks for a utility that I've had since day one and gave me none of the problems I had with previous products, it's great! I have two questions relating to the HDR options: 1. Is enabling HDR in the sim necessary to use the HDR options in Chaseplane and 2. I take it that any HDR settings in Chaseplane only affect views in Chaseplane, and will not apply to other (default or aircraft-based) views? Thanks Keith
  7. Thanks Dan, I wasn't aware (and am sure many others aren't!) that you could effectively upload other liveries to the liveries manager. Keith Hodkinson
  8. Just a question regarding liveries. I am about to uninstall NGX for P3dV3 so that i can reinstall for both v3 and v4. I think I have some liveries which were installed manually, and not from the PMDG liveries manager. Presumably I will lose all liveries on uninstall. My question is: can I just install my liveries manually from copies of the textures folders that I have taken from v3 (with appropriate adjustments to aircraft.cfg files) - will these be compatible with the v4 product? Keith Hodkinson
  9. Thank you Chris. The NGX is a joy to fly in v3 and am sure will be more so in v4! Keith Hodkinson (yes my real name!)
  10. Correct me if I am wrong, but I understand that you need to uninstall the NGX (including 600/700 expansion) in V3, before installing to V4 (and reinstalling to V3 also if you want). However, won't this leave you without 600/700 in either, as the installer for this has not yet been done? So gain 800/900 in v4, but lose 600/700 in v3 (for now)?
  11. Hi After a new build was loaded this morning, some keyboard control assignments are working incorrectly Controls for MOVE LEFT and MOVE RIGHT are instead operating PAN LEFT and PAN RIGHT. Controls for MOVE UP and MOVE DOWN are operating TILT UP and TILT DOWN. I checked to see if PAN LEFT etc had been switched to MOVE LEFT etc but apparently not. Have tried unassigning and reassigning controls but this did not work. Is this a bug in a recent build?
  12. It seems to me that Chaseplane- like Ezdok - is an all-or-nothing view solution. By this, I mean that if you start up with Chaseplane but then use a default system view (esp Spot or Locked Spot, which there is no equivalent of in Chaseplane), your Chaseplane views get screwed up, and the only thing you can do is exit Chaseplane and start it up again. I tend to use Locked Spot on the ground to get external views until it's time to taxi. This gives an AIRCRAFT - centred view, unlike Chaseplane (and Ezdok) which are always CAMERA - centred views.
