  1. Crash and hang on splash screen (FSX:SE)

    Hello everyone, So, about 1 week ago, I installed SweetFX. Didn't work correctly, so I uninstalled it. As soon as I uninstalled, FSX began crashing, saying that "SortWindows61.dll" was the issue. I reinstalled, kept happening. Reinstalled again, now it doesn't crash, but it hangs on the splash screen. Since this is a fresh install, it needs to generate the config, but when it hangs (always), it never fully creates it. It only generates about 3 lines. In Task Manager, when it hangs, FSX is shown as taking up 0% CPU, 25-60MB of memory, and 0% disk. Currently reinstalling as I post this. Any help appreciated! Specs: Intel i7-5960X nVidia 980ti 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 1000W PSU (EVGA) All drivers are up to date.
