  1. Found the executable by following the link in Windows 11. Strange bug, however.
  2. I get the message below in PDMG Operations Center v2.0.1.2182 for several days now. Can I do something about that? "I was unable to reach PMDG's server. Certain features are disabled. Please check your connection, then restart the app to try again." Obviously, I am online. Paul
  3. Solved it! I downloaded and installed the Vulkan installer from vulkan.lunarg.com and it works again. The Runtime is also included in the Geforce drivers. I know that because other programs with Vulkan worked. But maybe this installer changes some setting or is a new DLL. I do not know.
  4. I did that already (among dozens of other things). But it did not help.
  5. Yes, most developers don't have time to care for problems that affect only a few users, or only one. I understand that. But they should tell me so.
  6. This is a desktop PC with an Intel graphics chip AND a Geforce 1080 card. You can deactivate the chip in the BIOS settings. Usually, it is left activated. Some programs may even use both, like the Fenix A320 plugin.
  7. As expected, no reaction by Laminar Research on my bug report, only the auto-generated reply. I know that this kind of problems are difficult to analyze, although I cannot imagine that nobody else has this problem. My system is pretty standard.
  8. This plane sure has its bugs. E.g., I got the EFB freezing several times, and still have not figured out how to load the plane from Simbrief data properly. There are also small glitches with the procedures. To get to hotel mode, you need to have the gust lock on, the fuel cut off, and have hydraulic pressure to see the Ready light. Use the Aux pump. If Ready is on, the Prop Brake will activate and indicate so. After starting the engine, the generator still shows Fault, by the way, but it will work when you disconnect the GPU. To disable the Prop Brake, I always start engine 1 fully. This should give the Ready light and you can disable the Prop Brake.
  9. Another information: I de-activated the Intel graphics card too hoping that X-Plane simply opens the wrong driver. But that did not work either.
  10. Let me add two pieces of information: I had another program which did not open its window. That was the Creativ Cloud app which installs and updates Adobe's suit. I did not relate this to Vulkan, but I learned that the solution was to rename vulkan-1.dll to vulkan.dll in the Adobe Common Files folder. Then, I learned that the non-opening of windows in Vulkan apps is a common problem. Usually, it gets sorted out by the software that uses Vulkan. Why it happens on some machines and not others isn't clear.
  11. @GoranM : I also disabled any internet security. I did not yet file a bug request. I made the experience that there is absolutely no point in doing it. But I will, nevertheless. I did start a problem thread on the X-Plane forum. No ideas there yet.
  12. Yes. it does. But no problem report. My guess is that X-Plane opens an invisible window. Most likely, a Vulkan issue. To @Pivot : Of course, I tried starting as administrator. And yes, I also tried the recent installer.
  13. I can no longer open X-Plane 12, nor the X-Plane-Installer. They start and hang without showing a Window. I can kill them in Tast Manager. It might be a Geforce issue, because I recently updated to the newest drivers. Any ideas?
  14. I am using Geforce Experience in windowed mode all the time. By the way: What is a Preset Manager?
