  1. Hello, I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking. I think the PMDG 747-400 Base package has the option to set a assumed temperature to derate the takeoff or you can select To -5% (CLB 1) or To -15% (CLB 2). Will it be possible to derate the takeoff thrust in the FMC THRUST LIM page for the 747-8?
  2. Looks great. Really interesting to know that we have such a realism in P3D v4 + Active Sky and the PMDG 777 :) Here is a better screenshot from yesterday... We have exactly the same ground speed.
  3. Yes, because the 744 is able to fly a Mmo (max. Mach) of .920... And the 77W has Mmo (max. Mach) of .890... But If you look at my screenshot... .860 is close to getting overspeed. But under same conditions it should be able to fly the 744 with .890 or .900 :) That's why I think the 744 can be faster ovall. Because you can fly near the max. Mach speed.
  4. @Steve Dra Yeah, 194-197 tailwind is really crazy. I'm using Active Sky for P3D v4. But I had to increase the speed to .860 to get 700+ GS. Normally, I fly the 77W with .844. Anyway my question: The 744 is able to fly faster compared to the 77W? Because you can fly .870 till .890 without getting overspeed?
  5. Hello, Here is a new amazing ground speed with the 777-300ER performing a flight from VHHH to KSFO. Is 703 GS a new record with a PMDG 777-300ER? But overall... GS 703 is crazy :D Routing was: OCEAN V3 ENVAR M750 BUNGU Y81 SYOYU Y809 SPEAR Y808 ONION OTR5 ADNAP OTR7 EMRON 4100N/16000E 4300N/17000E 4500N/18000E 4700N/17000W 4900N/16000W 4900N/15000W 4600N/14000W 4200N/13000W VESPA AMAKR BDEGA2
  6. Same here. I was also performing flight DLH463 and takeoff was not easy.. 2-3 quick stall warnings but the 747 is still a solid airplane :) Here is a screenshot 7-8mins after takeoff from KMIA :)
  7. Very nice thanks for your replies :) If anyone is interested to fly these route (ANZ2) this is my routing: SATL1Q DABAS DCT TATAS B200 OSUGA DCT 15S162W DCT OTURI DCT 0500S15706W/M083F330 00N154W 05N150W 10N146W 15N142W/M083F350 20N137W 27N130W ROSIN BUFIE4 Actually you can see very high ground speeds between TATAS to DABAS and DABAS to SAMAD. With the PMDG 744 maybe it's possible to try Mach .089 :)
  8. Hello, I'm actually flying from NZAA (Auckland) to KLAX (Los Angeles) with the 77W in P3DV4. From Waypoint TATAS to SAMAD I saw a crazy high ground speed of 665 knots... Is that possible in reality? Cost index is very high (2500). Here is a screenshot
  9. It looks amazing! Just installed it and I did a 30mins test flight from KLAX to KLAX :)
  10. I think the 747 is easier to hand fly compared to the 777... For example: If you are going to land by hand with the 777-300ER (follow ILS glidescope)... I can't exactly describe why but for me it's easier to follow the ILS glidescope with the 747-400 compared to the 777-300ER... Do you know the Asiana Flight 214 crash at SFO? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asiana_Airlines_Flight_214) I had similar situations with the 777-300ER as flight Asiana 214. The aircraft is really hard to hand fly. But I never had a situation like this with the 747-400... For me it's much easier to land the 747 by hand. For example: If you need to increase the altitude (because your altitude is too low) just a few seconds before landing the 777 can crash... This doesn't happen with the 747-400...
  11. Thank you very much for the P3Dv4 Update. PMDG is doing a great job! Just a small question: You mean to uninstall the PMDG 747 Base Package in Programs and Features before running the new installer, right? And my second question is: Can I use the new installer to install it for P3Dv3 and P3Dv4? For exampe I use the new installer to install first the PMDG 747 for P3Dv3 and after this I run again the new installer to install it for P3Dv4... Is that right? Thank you very much.
  12. Hello, I have a small question referring to the CPU requirements for P3D v4. Actually I'm using P3D v3 with a Dell Precision 7910 CAD Workstation and a GTX 1060 GPU. This is a high performance CAD workstation from Dell. But the problem is... You can only use Intel Xeon E5 processors on it. I have a Intel Xeon E5-2640 v4 CPU. https://ark.intel.com/products/83359/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2640-v3-20M-Cache-2_60-GHz This CPU has 8 physical cores / 16 threads and 2,6 GHz and the turbo frequency is up to 3,40 GHz. My question is: Is this enough for P3D v4? On the system requirements page LM said as recommendation https://www.prepar3d.com/system-requirements/ Quad Core 3.5 GHz (Per Core) +)... I would upgrade my CPU but it's not easy to get Xeon E5 cpus with 3,5 GHz per core. So my question what is better? An Intel Xeon E5 with 8 cores and 2,6 GHz or a quadcore with 3,5 Ghz? Should I upgrade to a Xeon CPU with more GHz per core? Thank you.
  13. Hello, Just a small question to PMDG: Do you plan an official livery for the new United 77W? Would be very nice to get an official PMDG United livery for the 77W.
  14. Hello, Just a small question. With the PMDG 777 there is an option called FBW Trim Ref Speed. This adds a marker to the PFD which makes it easier for me to trim the 777. Is there a similar option for the 747 available? Or any helper to set the trim? Or is it possible to set the trim during manual flight automatically? Thank you.
  15. Hey thanks for your response. Yes, you're right it's HDR. The "problem" is gone if I deselect HDR lighting. So it's not a PMDG bug... Are there any HDR lighting related settings to reduce it a bit instead of deselecting it?
  16. Hello, First I would like to say I'm very happy about the new PMDG 747 v3. It's so amazing to fly the new 747. I have a small question to the PMDG 777 and 747 v3 on P3D. I'm not sure if it's a bug with PMDG or P3D but maybe someone here can help me. While changing the view in the virtual cockpit to the pedestal (for example) and back to the normal virtual cockpit the clouds look very bright and blurred??? This happens with the 777 and 747... And I have no idea why? Maybe it's more P3D related? Here is a screenshot for example how it should look like (normal VC front view): Now just looking to the pedestal And now looking back to the front view: As you can see the sky and the clouds looks now very bright and blurred.... Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you.
