Of course as I can not find the aircraft above for FSX/p3d, and I will be beginning my PPL on it, is there any other aircraft with similar systems/flight model, to help me get ready?
thanks, bill

After taking 40 minutes to load, which I can understand as I have downloaded X Europe 4 and updated to 11.5 it goes straight to a black screen then a blank white one where it stays for hours. I’ve started to have this issue after getting simhavens X Europe 4 even before updating to 11.5 although I don’t see what the problem is as even after turning down all the settings to minimum, I’m having this issue. I even tried deleting my NVIDIA profiles and resetting my NVIDIA settings. I’m on steam. I updated to 11.5 with vulkan, but the issue persists. My specs are mid end, all meeting the minimum and some of the recommended. I used to be able to get 25-30 FPS with mid-high settings and ai traffic as well as vfr scenery and airports.

Hi, does anyone know of where I could find key landmarks around the Manchester/NW England area, which are key when flying VFR out of Manchester or Barton airport such as the Trafford centre, Chill factore, Beetham tower etc. I saw a UK2000 thread of someone working on them but don’t have a link as to where I could download them
thanks

Was wondering what the lowest settings any alpha testers may have been accepted on and what they reckon would be required to run the game with decent performance and graphics?
thanks

Quick update, just want to thank all of you for your replies, I deleted the FSX.CFG and let it rebuild and then the problem had seemed to disappear even after allowing my settings to creep up to high and even ultra high in areas and was able to maintain 20-30 FPS constantly, I then slowly added the tweaks back in to allow for better texture loading etc.

Yeah, although I did try to monitor memory through task manager which showed only 68% of my memory used alongside Plan G, chrome, vpilot, and FSRealWX

I was able to run FSX with vector global REX, many fly Tampa sceneries and PMDG around 20-25 FPS and Gad no problems until I got rid of it for VFR flying and reinstalled fully and after downloading Biggin hill I’ve started to have this problem where the window just becomes unresponsive for a while and have tried turning down settings to no avail

Hi thanks a lot, yeah I have the same one by soarfly, but I’m starting to think the issue is beyond that airport alone and rather it affects other airports in the regions such as Gatwick

21 minutes ago, charliearon said:Is Biggin Hill an addon airport? A lot of AI aircraft in the area?
Yeah but it does it at default as well and actually it’s also doing it at Gatwick and other busy airports. My mouse simply is unable to enter the window and instead goes behind it while the window is frozen. Sound is still there. AI traffic is turned off, only for vatsim though it does it even when flying offline
-
For some reason this issue almost exclusively occurs at Biggin Hill airport in any aircraft. The window just stops responding, I can’t click anything or minimise it but FSX never crashes. I have the uiautomation dll, as well as have tried updating drivers, reloading my Logbook.bin, and running in different compatibility modes. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,
Are there many other varieties for good quality cheap or freeware UK VFR airfields? as I feel despite UK2000 giving quantity it lacks quality and vice versa for ORBX.
thanks,

I do not think so, the F18 and the Gulf map are very recent modules, even in an early access state, so I do not think we'll see them with a 50% discount in next summer sale.By the way, I recommend that whenever you ask a question in the forum and someone answers your question, you answer the thanks please.
Regards
Apologies, thanks for answering, often it’s not out of rudeness I may forget or be short on time, but grateful I am for any answer to my threads!

Hi,
With the summer sale fast approaching, could we expect to see aircraft such as the F-18 and Persian Gulf map both now on 50% off, as they have only been 25% off in the last few sales.
Thanks, Bill

Could I run the Persian Gulf map, along with the F-18 on my system of:
i3 3.4 GHz
GTX 1050 2GB
8GB RAM

I see you’re running 4.0. You should consider updating to 4.5.
The issue has seemed to have fixed itself after an update to v4.5. Thanks for help! So glad it’s all over!

Just now, Ray Proudfoot said:@Billkhaled, I’m not surprised with an i3 and a graphics card with 2Gb. That’s below min spec and the A320 will have a serious impact. I’m surprised you can even fly with that hardware. Try a default aircraft and see if it improves. You really need to consider a faster system.
It doesn’t witha default aircraft, and the reason I’m so surprised is I could run the airbus with the same addons with little problems on FSX which was 32 bit and required even higher specs.

When reporting problems it helps to give as much info as possible. System details, crash info and the version of P3D is absolute minimum.
Normally it hangs for around 5 minutes and then loads in each stage every 2 or 3 minutes. For example, the scenario loads in, the screen is black and it lasts for around 5 minutes then the cockpit comes in and after 2 minutes the panel states load in, after around 5 minutes again I am able to actually click and move around, even that is slow and laggy.
-
9 minutes ago, Drumcode said:Pretty standard behavior when you have any shaders involved. Do you?
I do yes, but the hang is very long and with the aerosoft a320 it just crashes.
-
P3D has been very slow lately despite updating drivers and other such things the simulator now hangs for a long time on a black screen with the sound of the aircraft.
-
Just now, Sethos1988 said:Had some problems finding the mentioned drivers as well, I downloaded them from here; https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/141169
And I personally suggest you use DDU to clean up your current drivers, preferably do it in safe mode (it's in DDU's options, enable, restart DDU, accept going into Safe Mode and it'll open automatically for you to clean): https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Then you just install the package above.
However, if you already experienced it through updates, then it might not even be related. It was just an idea based on you mentioning stuttering.
Aright thanks a lot for your help.
-
10 minutes ago, Sethos1988 said:I posted a different issue, regarding a very scenery specific stutter over on the P3D forums. Someone chimed in and talked about downgrading their drivers, as the latest one introduced stutters for them. Might be relevant for you; https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=133788
Could you possibly provide me with a link to update my drivers as I want to makesure it was done correctly, as this isuue happened even before I updated them. For more details, P3D is relatively fine at the scenario screen, then hangs when I click "OK" and ater a while loads a blank screen with no dialogue box, then finally loads the box taking around 5minutes to load in. After reaching 100% the screen blacks out, after a fewminutes you hear the sound and everthing begins slowly loading in, you cannon click or press anything and once in the simulatore even the slightest input has a few second lag. I can not even pan my view around free of lag.
Thanks

Hey thanks for all your replies, as for the x plane version l, I can’t do as of course I’m on FSX (old but trusty), so I think I’ll go with the DA20, as it has a similar cockpit and general shape to the Aquilas as well as the same engine
