  1. Thanks for the kind words, guys! We should be releasing a hot fix this week for some minor ground poly flickering people are experiencing with software such as "Chase Plane". Thanks, Russ

  7. This is where our hobbies differ. There are many people out there that use simulation to do just that. Our goal has always been to encourage exploration and do things you wouldn't usually do. That's an advantage simulation has over reality. Why use a simulator and restrict yourself? Have a bit of fun and explore the places you wouldn't be able to in reality :)
  8. We do not charge for those details, we charge for the detail we go to with things like the ground polygon detail, the building detail and the amount of work we put in to getting those features as close to the real thing as possible. That aside, the majority of our customers appreciate the detail we go to. But we understand that not everyone needs it, so we give you the option to disable it. Clutter is actually not accounted for in our budget for airports at all. Which technically is insane, but we understand that a lot of people love it being there, but don't want to pay for it.
  9. I'm still trying to get used to people calling airports like KGPI "small" (although, obviously I get why). It has literally taken me a few months just to complete the Terminal area! haha We've put so much stuff in to this airport that the thought of anything bigger is horrifying! :D Developers doing bigger airports have my respect. Thanks, Russ
  10. To be honest, it's more of a sales thing. GA airports is a very niche market, so American airports are normally the "safer" bet as it's the biggest audience. I'd love to go else where if sales of even our American airports pick up. They cost a lot of money to develop. As a bit of a clue of what the sales numbers are like, I'll say one thing. Turbulent aren't in it for the profit. We're by no means a small company, but our aviation/simulation section is tiny (compared to some other publishers/developers) and we do it because we enjoy it.
  11. Yes it will be optimised for dynamic lighting. We're moving away from light maps. It still requires a lot of work from Lockheed, but we do what we can to keep it reasonable. Thanks, Russ
  12. Thanks for the kind words, all! I'll be getting some airside shots to you ASAP :) Thanks, Russ
  13. Hey all, As it's a P3D v4 exclusive, I thought I'd post our update to KGPI here as well. Hope you like the progress! All shots found here: https://www.turbulentdesigns.co.uk/kgpi-glacier-park-international-airport-update/ Here are a few of them: Thanks, Russ
  14. Hi all! Just a heads up, we've released our first X-Plane product; KIDA Idaho Falls: X-Plane Edition. It's also in the Christmas sale which ends December 31st. We're hoping this is the first of many more X-Plane projects to come! More info and screenshots can be found here: https://www.turbulentdesigns.co.uk/kida-idaho-falls-x-plane-edition-released/
  15. Every developers customer base is different and can't really be used to identify a dominant simulator (at least not yet). For us, our customer base was mainly P3D v3 and v4, which led us to the decision of developing for v4 only, back in June. Thanks, Russ
  16. Yes, just previews for now. We'll be releasing early next year. Thanks, Russ
  17. Thanks, Scott! We do indeed prefer the more scenic and obscure airports. But for us, that's what simulation is about; being able to explore places you may not be able to in reality. Thanks, Russ
  18. Just double checked. Did you get my reply on 11/12/2017 at 13:52? I requested your username and email address. :) Thanks, Russ
  19. Hi Scott, Thanks for the heads up. I'm sure I answered it but I'll double check. Sorry for the inconvenience! Thanks, Russ
  20. Hey guys, We released some shots of KGPI yesterday. As it's a P3D v4 exclusive, I thought you'd want a heads up. More shots here: https://fselite.net/previews/fselite-exclusive-previews-turbulent-designs-kgpi-glacier-park-international-airport/ I hope you like how its coming along! Thanks, Russ
  21. Please don't misunderstand. The price was ALWAYS listed including VAT for all regions that pay VAT. It just wasn't obvious for people that didn't pay VAT that VAT wasn't added to the price even though it displayed "INC VAT". NO ONE has been charged more or less than what was advertised on the product page and checkout.
  22. Hi guys, We've made a few adjustments to the product page, so hopefully things are a little more obvious. If you're in a region that does not pay VAT, then you'll notice that the inc and exc VAT will be the same. Thanks, Russ
  23. Thanks for contributing, Chock. We're working on making it a little less confusing. Thanks, Russ
