Hi, Hope you don't mind me reviving this- I'm trying to undock instruments so we can use our cockpit set up- virtual cockpit doesn't really work for this setup. I'm not finding many models at all that allow me to undock instruments, the m346 allows the mfd's but I can get the hud undock and work, with most right click does not allow undock and no options in the instruments tab? Is it possible to extract the instruments - i don't mind some file modding if needed... Thanks Les

Hi all, Im civilian staff at an air cadet sqn, we have two simulators, full fighter jet cockpits with three projectors for each forming the external view. They also have screen in the cockpit for instruments, arranged behind three mfd's which have functioning buttons. We used to run fsx and the f18 super bug, undocking the mfd instruments and placing them behind the displays on the screen. I've just finished upgrading the pc's and installing p3d v5 as an upgrade. Would anyone be able to suggest suitable aircraft to use, which have mfd's or other glass instruments ( presumably 2d?) Which cam be undocked in the same way? Ideally we would want a prop trainer like a grin tutor , something like the new Texan turboprop trainer and a jet like a hawk or typhoon.... Any help appreciated!!! Les

Ok after overcoming the file path error, I have the directory structure exactly as above but no joy, liveries still don't appear on the list, Any ideas chaps?

At the moment it keeps giving me the error " filename too long" when I try to move the files ...

Hi guys, I'm really struggling to get anything working on fs2020. I have tried 4 different livery downloads, none worked. Firstly the megapack, downloaded it, extracted it and placed it in the community folder, nothing showed up in the game, so after a suggestion I then tried to put the contents of the megapack into the community folder, that hasn't worked as windows won't copy it across " filename too long error" " you don't have permission" errors, "pathway too long" error.... It's driving me back to fs2004!! Could anyone post me some really simple step by step instructions for the megapack? I'm usually good with file movement and structure, but can't get anywhere with this Thanks guys

Hi all, Have been trying to learn the new file structure from the old fs2004 ( I skipped fsx ) but struggling I can't get any of the available liveries to show up on the list after installation. I installed flightsim2020 via the Xbox game pass (basic version) The latest one I tried was the mega pack V8 I extracted the pack and placed the whole extracted folder in the "community" folder but no luck Any ideas appreciated....
