  1. Thanks to everyone for offering ideas. Once I noticed that it was not just Las Vegas but also missing airplane terminals at many airports and some addon airplanes whose liveries would not be painted on, I concluded that I needed to do a complete reinstall of FSX. I had previously tried that without success, but this time I followed a tip that says don't reinstall SP! or SP2 until, after installation, you have run the program once. Once I did that and then installed SP! and 2, everything worked fine, both in LV and at the airports. There was a lot of addon scenery and addon airplanes to reinstall , but it all worked out and kept me off the streets and out of my spouse's hair. Prior to the reinstall, I returned my Nvidia Inspector settings to their default values. I have left them there and it didn't seem to make a difference that I could notice. After hours of fiddling, this had a happy ending!
  2. Thanks, Scotth6. Here is a screenshot of the Bellagio fountains without the Bellagio (or any other hotel). https://imgur.com/a/Z8iMv I can't get the picture but I hope you can.
  3. I have the screenshot but I can't figure out how to copy the screenshot into the message in Windows 10 (Chrome or Internet Explorer). Copy and paste do not work, nor does the snipping tool. Any advice would be welcome, but I hate taking so much of your attention. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the reply to this newbie. The FSX default LV scenery included hotels and other landmarks, but they are not there in the 2d or 3d cockpit view when Megascenery LV is loaded. Is there a way to have both Megascenery and the hotels when taking off or flying low over LV??
  5. Something is wrong with the MS Las Vegas program. While all the structures (mainly hotels) show up in the overhead view, when looking from the 2d or 3d cockpits the structures simply are not there. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Las Vegas program but it did not help. I emailed Megascenery with that inquiry but, after several days have passed, they neither acknowledged the inquiry nor responded. Does anyone have a suggestion?
  6. I solved the problem on my setup as follows: set Steve's DX 10 fixer at 8xCSAA for antialiasing. Be sure to have the libraries installed. Set Nvidia Inspector at AA mode=application controlled; AA setting at 16xS and AA transparency at 2x Sparse Grid Supersampling. If you have Rex 4 texture installed, you may have to go to settings and uncheck runway markings (I did this but did not try whether this was essential). My graphics card is an Nvidia 745. Good luck Jim
