  1. Dave. No, that's not it. I already had "Force Pilot Runway Selection" checked. And, among the options I'd tried earlier was contacting Ground first. I just ran another test, exactly as you suggested above with the same results. I made multiple calls to Ground with verbatim as you suggested, with no response. Then I took off and before 50' off the ground out came the responses. I have 2 snips of the P2A comms section to demonstrate it but I don't see how to add them to this post so I'll email them to you. 2. Dave, I should have pointed out that in the above post where it display my call sign twice "Cessna 2 Sierra Papa" consecutively, "Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa Two Sierra Papa ..." -- I did not say that. I definitely called my call sign only once. However, that's nonetheless not the root cause of the backed up ATC responses as once I took off the tower messages displayed my call sign correctly. Thx ... Bob
  3. Dave, I saw you already posted version 2.4.0.2 so I installed and tried it. It does not resolve the problem of backed up ATC responses. Below is a snapshot of the dialog text. Simulator Connected Recognition Engine Installed Grammars Loaded Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa Two Sierra Papa Ready for Departure Runway Zero One Left to Remain in pattern; (this is in Green; it's what I called out, but no response.) 4. Sammy031, Many thx for your reply and interest. Given Dave's subsequent post it sounds like he's onto the problem. But to answer your question: I generally don't want to spend time taxiing so I start in X-Plane located at the end of the runway and was calling Tower first and had the above issues. Then I speculated that perhaps P2A didn't know how to handle that and, while still located at the end of the runway, would instead call Ground first, but had the same problem. Later, when trying again and calling Tower first I got know response and when I just took off got then after takeoff got several responses from Tower telling me to contact Ground.
  5. Sammy031, Thx for your reply and interest. I looked at your scripts and they're nicely done; thanks for your efforts. But I don't think that gets to the problem I reported yesterday, above. I'm following the script exactly as in Dave's video tutorial. Plus it wouldn't explain why I got no responses to my numerous calls to tower and/or ground, but the responses I should have gotten all come tumbling out once I actually takeoff.
  6. Another update to my immediately preceding post: As with my post of 9:32 Wednesday, I gave up and finally just departed without ATC, but immediately upon liftoff I got a string of repeating P2A response as if it had stored the responses to each time I'd called and gotten nothing, and now spit them all out once as soon as I took off. As I reported immediately preceding this, P2A DID have the KTPA weather. Also, it had probably been 30 minutes that it was sitting there before I finally decided to just takeoff.
  7. See my previous post at 9:24 Wednesday. This is still not working for me. Some additional info: 1. I checked Info and it DOES have the weather. 2. I have "Force Pilot Runway Selection" set. 3. I have watched your VFR pattern tutorial and am using the same grammar. As reported earlier, I'm starting located at the end of the runway and my first call is to Tower and get no response though the voice recognition is correct. If I try instead contacting Ground as my first call, I also get no response. Also, FYI 'Pilot2ATC provides ATIS' is checked, yet it appears ATIS is coming from X-Plane as P2A in the Weather tab of Info shows Altimeter as 30.17, whereas ATIS says it is 29.92 Running P2A version 2.4.0.1_x64 with X-Plane 11.10 on Windows 10.
  8. This is interesting. See my above post. I gave up and decided to just take off. Immediately AFTER lifting off, Tower responded with the following: "Cessna Two Sierra Papa Whinds are calm Cleared for takeoff, Runway Zero One Left Fly a Left hand pattern for touch and goes on runway Zero One Left Remain on this frequency." (Side note: "winds" is misspelled.)
  9. That does not work for me. I have Plan Type set to VFR, with one waypoint selected, KTPA. No flight plan is filed. I say as cited in the above post, but get no response: Simulator Connected Recognition Engine Installed Grammars Loaded Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa Ready for Departure Runways Zero One Left to Remain in pattern; Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa; Ready for Departure Runway Zero One Left to Remain in pattern; Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa; Ready for Departure Runway Zero One Left to Remain in pattern;
  10. That does not work for me. I have Plan Type set to VFR, with one waypoint selected, KTPA. No flight plan is filed. I say as cited in the above post, but get no resp Simulator Connected Recognition Engine Installed Grammars Loaded Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa Ready for Departure Runway Zero One Left to Remain in pattern; Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa Ready for Departure Runway Zero One Left; to Remain in pattern; Tower Cessna Two Sierra Papa Ready for Departure Runway Zero One Left to Remain in pattern; KTPA shows 2 Tower frequencies, 119.50 and 119.05. Tried both, same result.
  11. Using P2A v 2.4.0.1_x64: When using P2A Grammar Helper, and doing Training, Windows' "Speech Recognition Voice Training" is offering Training Text with Sierra spelled incorrectly, with one "r". So the training text is wrong, which is presumably why speech recognition is returning "Siera", which is presumably why P2A says that an exactly correct readback is incorrect. I.e., Speech recognition has been trained that it's "Siera" and when that's returned to P2A it doesn't match the controller's clearance in which it is spelled "Sierra".
