  1. About a year ago I switched from XP11 to P3D, especially because of the previews of the coming PMDG 747-8. In that year besides some scenery/weather add ons I only bought the PMDG 737 NGX as a plane-add on to P3D while holding off on other purchaces because of the 747-8. The 737 turned out to be a high quality product, so I was looking forward to the 747-8 a lot. Now that it has been released reviews are positive, and it certainly seams worth the wait and a high price. However in the last year, I have missed that it was to be an expansion instead of a new base plane without any options to just get access to the 747-8. Having to pay 210 USD in total because of the necessity to buy the 747-400, without planning to fly the 747-400 at all, is extreme. Hence my question: Are there plans to release a 747-8 stand alone version?
  2. Very relaxing to watch, even more so when live 👍
  3. Hi all, Just a single picture; a nice evening view fom my cockpit on the way from EKCH to EHAM. Enjoy 🙂
  4. I also was looking at a Twitch-stream of this event yesterday, one with 650 viewers. There were some people genuinely disappointed and their worries should be taken into account, but what also happened was a bandwagon. As is often the case on social media some people need black and white emotions as a sense of purpose to get attention, negative or positive. People, who didn`t immediately strike as objective reviewers in their inflamed behaviour, silently agreed to be negative and were elated to have an excuse to go full social media madness on Twitch. Once the first started doing this it attracted more people to do the same, to be part of the rage, to feel being part of something. I noticed that whenever I said something positive about the new project, this only caused people to become more negative. Like they were saying; "I`m enjoying this mindless group-negativity and ain`t nobody going to make an actual discussion about this!". Moderate or positive opinions were simply drowned out. As a decades long flightsimmer, and since a year a flyer of P3D and XP11, I am excited at this project. I`m signed up to ProjectFly, but this sim-cloud integration seems to be a lot deeper, not simply more of the same. I am looking forward to future updates about this, to get a better feeling what the potential of GFO is.
  5. Fair enough. It`s just, if it`s known that the breaking...I mean Beta is not too far off, I know I should hold off purchasing another plane first.
  6. The screenshots look fantastic. I`m looking forward to flying this plane. By the looks of it will be PMDG`s most advanced project yet, so it`s development rightfully takes the time it takes. Is there already an indication of how long finishing it will take, like a number of weeks or months, or is that still in the grey?
