Platform doesn't matter at all, I'm personally playing XPlane 11 at the moment but i'm watching/reading about everything from Flight Sim 95 to Flight Sim World to P3D. Think i'm becoming a little obsessed...

Hey guys, Mentioned the other day that I was quite new to flight simming and i'd like to find some reputable and highly regarded reviewers/youtubers/public figures within flight simulation, as recently i've found myself watching and reading stuff about flight simulation almost as much as i've actually spent playing it! Watching quite a lot of the Matt Davies/Squirrel/Froogle vids that are out there but it'd be cool to get some suggestions from the experts (you guys) about who else is worth checking out Thanks in advance 😄

So what do we think is a good way to secure sales? New features? Name recognition? Accessibility for new users/non-simmers?

I've relatively recently come into flight simulation and spent a while scouring through a number of recommendations as to what platform is best for the full experience, but the replies have been varied. Ended up going with X-Plane 11 which I've been enjoying immensely, but the responses did get me thinking; If the flight sim community could make the perfect modern day flight simulator, what would it include? What features are essential? What is missing from the current offerings that you guys feel could take the genre forward?
