  1. UPDATE: LATE but it is officially over for OC2 and by extension, all P3D PMDG products. For those of you who still haven't found a ptp decompiler, there is one on AdamJPestridge's Discord server. You can find the link to join on his YouTube channel.
  2. Occasionally for me, updating my NVIDIA drivers results in CTDs but this is easily solvable by rolling back the driver. So far I haven't experienced a crash in months.
  3. UPDATE: They moved the date forward to the 26th of May, seems like they're pretty impatient to get this done. I think we have no choice but to mass download liveries in the time we have left.
  4. Disappointing but not surprised. As said, I hope they reverse course but I am not optimistic.
  5. Thank you all for the replies. I honestly didn’t expect this post to gain traction this quickly. Even though I’m almost certain it wouldn’t be difficult at all for PMDG to simply keep the import/export PTP functionality, it now feels like they just no longer care now that they aren’t making money from the P3D userbase, which is genuinely disappointing to see despite their great products. What also really bothers me is the reasoning some PMDG staff have given regarding the addons' “shelf life,” as if removing the our ability to even install liveries is somehow reasonable because we're on an older platform. I might be wrong, but I've never seen any developer do something like this, ever. At this point, I think unfortunately, we have no choice but to archive current liveries and install ones currently available on the internet before the cutoff date. Maybe if we can keep the pressure up they may reconsider their decision but until then, we'll have to do that.
  6. I believe they explicitly mentioned that you won't be able to install .ptp-based liveries through OC2, so unfortunately I think it may be different this time.
  7. Indeed, they said that it'll be completely unfunctional after May 31st.

  9. Hello all, since it hasn’t really been discussed here yet, I figured a lot of you may not have seen PMDG’s decision to completely discontinue support for OC2 starting May 31st. (https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/396717-oc2-end-of-life-and-livery-utilies) For us P3D users, this is honestly a pretty major issue, since it effectively means we’ll no longer be able to install liveries at all, including third party PTP liveries. That’s a huge loss considering the fact that these are literally aircraft liveries. I understand PMDG wanting to move away from P3D and focus on MSFS and whatnot, but completely removing even the most basic functionality (aka installing liveries) seems pretty excessive imo What do you guys think about this decision & is there any realistic chance PMDG could reconsider this?
