  1. That is exactly what happened, but, I would think if I'm cleared for the approach, then I'm cleared for the approach. It Is a bit confusing to get cleared and then not be cleared in few minutes, just to be cleared again. I'll be okay your program is still awesome!
  2. I've noticed this for a while and so I thought to ask. It might not be a bug, but, would like to know if this is normal. I'm happily flying along and the approach controller will clear me for the approach. After a few minutes, the approach controller will issue me vectors to the ILS and then another clearance to approach. Thanks Scott
  3. I'm not saying this is it, but, I've had an issue with this if I missed an altitude restriction on climb out. If you blow through the restriction, atc will demand you go back down to acquire it. Maybe...maybe not?
  4. That doesn't really answer what I'm trying to ask. My question is in regards to the initial atc clearance given and the stop altitude atc clears me to. This altitude is always different than the published stop altitude. Can this be improved upon? Or, is there a limitation that prevents using the charts in the programming? I appreciate the help
  5. on this note, I notice that in the initial clearance, atc will give a climb to <altitude> that doesn't match the published SID top altitude. They will say something like, "climb to FL210 via the SID..." But, the top altitude on the SID is only 8000. (just an example) Is the clearance stop altitudes programmed with the charts in mind? Or, is it programmer discretion? Love this program Scott
  6. Thanks Dave. For your testing data, the request prior to TOD doesn't yield expected changing of runways either. Great software though. Scott
  7. Thanks for that. I wouldn't have thought to go through a disconnect/reconnect and refile. Will the option ArrivalRunwayRequest be implemented. Right now, it does not appear to do anything.
  8. Long time user of this software, love it. However, I still struggle when it comes to changing runways. A lot of times I'll start a flight in the evening and when I get to flight level and everything is smooth, I'll let the autopilot fly the enroute and I'll have the sim pause about 30 or so miles from the TOD. This works perfectly. The issue is when I wake up in the morning the flows changed to the opposite runway. I try to look at the forecasts and file my flighplan to use the forecast winds, but sometimes the forecast is wrong and I end up programmed to use the wrong runway. I would think that I could select "ArrivalRunwayRequest", scroll through the predefined statements and select the new runways, then click the "SayIt" button. The software will make the request, but the controller will always keep telling me the original filed runway. If I'm missing a step here, can someone please help?
  9. Ok. It makes sense what your saying, maybe I'm missing a detail. I'll try again and check it out. Thanks for your time.
  10. Dave, here's the thing. Using your example of coming from the north and the flight plan was setup for a STAR and Approach to land on 17. So far great, P2atc will flow perfectly. But prior to TOD (greater than 100nm away) the winds change for a 35 landing. I request a runway change. P2ATC will instantly put me on vectors (no more STAR) and give me a descent instruction to 3000ft (seems unreasonable). Maybe I'm not doing something procedurally in the software when requesting... Not sure. Thanks for helping, Scott
  11. This has happened to me from time to time. Usually it occurs when during the cruise I decide to ask for runway change. At that point, it goes to a vector approach and I get unreasonable descent instructions. Most times I just shut p2atc down.
  12. All is well in my pilot2atc world again. Thanks Dave. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  13. Here's what happened: I bought a new SSD drive and attempted to move X-Plane 11 to that new SSD. The original C drive was getting cramped on space. It worked. X-Plane is all by itself on this 1TB drive. Here's where the issue comes in. When I tried to start pilot2atc, I get an "invalid license (invalid hardware id)" error message on the load screen. I went back to my purchase email that contains the activation, entered it in, it goes through the acquiring license, and then I get another error message, "A License key can only be activated once for any PC and on a maximum of 1 PC." I sent an email to admin@pilot2atc.com on 12/29/2018 at 9:23p, but have not heard back yet. I absolutley love this program and am happy to have purchased. But, I can't use it until this gets resolved. Any help would be appreciated. Scott G
