Whether you've installed the Garmin trainer in the default folders? I have installed it in D drive instead of C. This is because the computer has a very small C drive and I thought maybe that was the problem. X plane 11 and all other programs are installed on D as well Whether you've installed the Garmin trainer as admin? (shouldn't be) I shut down antivirus software and ran the installer as normal. Whether you're running the simulator as admin? (shouldn't be) I have tried this both ways, same results. Normally all programs i run under NORMAL user unless it is directed to run under ADMIN rights Whether you have 2 graphics card: an integrated graphics (typically Intel chipset) and a discrete graphics card (typically NVidia or AMD)? This one may be the problem and I will have to do some digging. I have an alienware laptop and it has the built in INTEL graphics card and then also the NVidia graphics card as well. I'm not sure how to force it to use on or the other but i will look into this problem and get back to you. I'm assuming I can go to the EXE file and change properties there or would I need to look through the Nvidia graphics control panel? If the later is true, then you must ensure the GTN Simulator.exe process is only using discrete graphics and not integrated because the Intel drivers exhibit bugs/black screens in this case (otherwise on systems with Intel only it works fine). Exceeded the number of attempts to log into so now i have to have me the thing reactivated. Love this honestly. Just tried a new install to a new drive after getting rid of the old files using add/remove programs. Checked for updates and it says up to date. Well now im back to nothing but a blank screen again. I will post the logs when i get a second. Thanks. Bill

So after going through and getting the corrected download software from the website and then doing a full reinstall. I still am unable to use the software. I went and got the downloader and ran it. I had to then find my license key and then the last four of the card for it to continue. I gave it the proper information and then allowed the installer to run. It found and installed all the GTN trainers and completed the install. Finally I though it was done and I could use it. I was wrong. I ran x plane 11 and started up an aircraft cold and dark. Supplied power via GPU and then went to the pluggins tab. Selected the 750 and after a few seconds got the 750 layout and a message press here to continue. I pressed the screen using the mouse and got a screen stating I had a VALID registered copy with a large button labeled press here to continue. I use the mouse and select the button and nothing happens. I press it again nothing. I close the screen and try it all over again and nothing. Eventually causes x plane to freeze up. Tried again a second time after restarting x plane 11 and same results. I have a valid license, I had installed it correctly. It is NOT PIRATED and i can PROVE it. I'm sick of people suggesting that is is pirated. If it is then that means I paid for fake software off of your site. I'm looking for a solution, I would like to use this software. I can download aircraft and never have issues but this software has been a nightmare from the start. Bad installer and now this. Thanks Bill

Glad it worked for for you, How do you go about getting it to work. I followed the link posted above and all it did was take me to a page with all the patch notes as to what it did or what it fixed. Where is the download? Do i go back and use the downloader from the main page and just do the full install again? Sorry just a little confused thanks. Bill

There is nothing that is preventing me from getting the file. I stated that the first link in the program window is a DEAD link. I used the second and can make that link work. I downloaded a HUGE 2.2g file that I didn't realize was that big until I did the download. I DID the install on my computer for the trainer software and got the 750 trainer window and the option for a ton of PDF files for manuals. I have run RXP GTN install again and get the same error. It is as if the installer is broken and it cant find the server it should be going to. I have shut off fire walls, I have shut off VPN, and I shut off antivirus so I highly doubt that anything is blocking the program. I even ran the installer in ADMIN rights. I get the same results. I wish I could post a screenshot of what it says. I copied the text of the error. select x-plane 11 folder (this is where Xplane 11 is installed) D:\Steamlibrary\SteamApps\common\X-plane 11 Setup detected as error. The gramin trainer installer is missing from either C:\Users\bstap\appdata\local\temp\is-DH2RO.tmp\GarminTrainerSetup_2300.exe C:ProgramData\RealityXP\Common\GTNTrainer\GarminTrainerSetup_2300.exe I have checked both location and the GarminTrainerSetup_2300.exe file is missing. Is this the file that when I download from the link should I put the exe in one of these location, all I did was run the installer for the trainer from the download folder. Bill

I don't understand what you mean. I have the box checked that says download the latest and it never tries to do anything. It simply brings up an error at the beginning of the install that states it cant find the trainer install exe in two locations that it checked. Can I simply move the 2.2g training to where it wants to find it? Sorry im lost and it doesn't appear to look online for the software you are referring to. Thanks Bill

I have the same problem as the above person. I purchased it via the sale for thanksgiving and downloaded the coupon. Everything went fine until install. I ran the installed and on the installer it says to go to one of two links to download the trainer. The first link is dead and the second link worked. It then downloaded a Garmin trainer that was approx. 2.2g file size. I let that complete. I then installed it. I cant find any info on what to so with the files. I then ran the installer again and it says in the readme area of the installer that it will download the files during install. I check the box and hit continue. When it gets to a certain point I get an error message that states. Setup can not find the trainer and it gives a location of where it is looking. I hit continue and the install goes through. I run xplane 11 and I then go to plugins and the 750 shows up but they have nothing but a blank screen. Nothing works. I have run the install twice and have done it with the antivirus turned off. If this is an installer problem then why are you asking people to download out of date installers and coupons. I only downloaded this less then 24hrs ago. If it is an installer problem where can I get the latest one so that the product works correctly. Where can I find step by step install instructions because even with the trainer files downloaded I cant get this to work. It says that when installing it SHOULD connect to the reality XP servers and download the product but I never see this happen. I only get the error message. setup has detected an error the garmin trainer installer is missing from either: then is list two file locations. I have checked and the trainer installer is not listed in them. I downloaded and unzipped the trainer from the link in the installer menu when it shows up. I have no idea what to do with the files. please help Bill
