  1. I would love to try the Phenom 300 mod.

    My e-mail is:  barnstormer716@gmail.com

    Thanks,

    Bill

  2. It posted before I was finished. What I wrote was all that was in the F1GTN file. The RXP config has a bit of what yours did. I'm trying to get the Flight1 GTN to operate the plane. Any thoughts on how I can do that? Bill Cox
  3. I'm struggling with getting the GTN to control the aircraft as well. I'm doing it in FSX and I have the Flight1 GTN750. I'm not familiar with the RXPGTN750. My config files are:[GTN750.1] Airplane=6
  4. I believe that the aircraft itself is causing the failure of the Visual C++. I had noticed that after getting the crash and error message after trying to fly the Phenom 100, that my Active Sky Next was not loading all information to the sim, and a few Little Nav Map features were not working. I re-booted the computer and they began working properly again. As long as I don't try to use the Phenom, I'm good. No one else seems to have come up with a solution. I suppose I'll just take another aircraft from Carenado instead, and let it go. A shame really, the Phenom 100 looked really nice.
  5. Yes it is 64 bit. I assume it's up to date, I get regular windows downloads. Carenado had me download the plane again, which I had already done, and then gave up, prompting me to choose another aircraft from their list. I had noticed elsewhere on this forum that I'm not the only one this has happened to. Carenado apparently just doesn't feel the need to fix this issue.. A shame since it's really well done. I find it odd that this problem only occurs with this, new to me, aircraft. Visual C++, whatever that is, must work just fine with everything else. I will continue to plod through all of this as I have time, as I'm not ready to give up on the Phenom 100. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Bill
  6. I chose a C++Runtime Library download and then tried to install it. No go. It said the Setup Failed because on one or more issues??? 0x80240017 - Unspecified error
  7. Okay, I went to the page you suggested and there are a plethora of different downloads. Again, I'm not a computer guy, so I have no clue which one to download and install. I have windows 7 on a Jetline 3032 computer.
  8. I just purchased the Phenom 100 and when I load it in FSX to go flying it crashes FSX. I am getting a warning which means nothing to me, but apparently is the problem. It is from something called: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Debug Assertion Failed! Program: ...icrosoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator, X\Carenavigraph.dll, File: c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio, 12.0\vc\include\xstring, Line 1168 Expression: invalid null pointer For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C== documentation on asserts I hope someone can decipher all of that and give me some idea what to do next. Thank you. Bill
  9. To close this out on a positive note, my son and I dug into the thing and he finally, after reading some reviews found the simconnect.dll in a flight one UTX Alaska file. I copied it and put it in my Flight Simulator X file...I was just guessing...and I'll be darned if it didn't suddenly come alive the next time I used FSX! After two weeks and two days of frustration I'm finally able to enjoy my Christmas presents. Thanks to all of you who got me on the right track.

  11. Report post Posted 19 hours ago in installed Programs of windows you will see all the version that are installed. My "guess" is that it is a permissions thing....Some will say this is "bad advice" but if you right click on the Installers you can chose to run them as administrator. Permissions might be stopping them from properly installing. Another question -- are you using the FSX Steam Beta? or just the current FSX Steam edition? I have FSX Acceleration not Steam. I'm not sure about the permissions thing. Again I'm not a computer guy. I know just enough to fly the sim.
  12. Without simconnect in the computer I don't think anything is going to work. So far no one on the FSX forum has any suggestions as to what is preventing it from installing.
  13. I received a Logitech Radio Panel and Multi Panel this Christmas and have been unable to make either work yet. Thanks to some help on another Avsim forum we have deduced that the reason is the Logitech plug in required to make the Panels work, will not work because I don't have a simconnect.dll in my computer. I have tried to download these (apparently there are three) and none will load. Eventually I get an error directed to SimConnect Cliet v10.0.61259.0 An error occurred during the installation of assembly Microsoft.VC80,50727.42"'type="win32".processorArchitecture="x86".publicKey Token="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. Now I am not a computer guy. I have no idea what all this means. If you can help me get this simconnect.dll loaded you will have to be very specific as to what I should do because I don't intuitively know where anything is in my computer. I will tell you that I'm running Windows 7 with FSX on a Jet Line computer and that all other functions with flight sim work very well. I have numerous add on aircraft and scenery programs as well as CH throttles, yoke and pedals and Track IR. All of these work as they should and have for a number of years. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide. Bill Cox
  14. Thanks for your help. I feel like you've pointed me in the right direction. Now to figure out how to correct the computer. I think it's the problem rather than the Panels.
  15. I do have that, in fact a number of editions of it. The latest added 12/26/19 which tells me it was added by some program or I was told to add it. I don't remember, but it was already there from last July and even further back. Anyway, I've herd you mention adding the plug in manually. Is that a way to bypass the simconnect? Or is it simply a must have feature?
  16. Well, several hours and much frustration later: I downloaded the simconnect as you suggested, no problem so far. Then I began trying to install each of the three. It seemed to go quickly until I had a half green bar and 1 second remaining. It said: "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Flight Simulator SimConnect client v 10.0.61259.0 This took fifteen minutes before it told me: An error occurred during the installation of assembly Then it gave a lot of numbers I won't bore you with and it said to refer to Help and Support for more information. At this popint it took twenty more minutes before the box and the little turning circle dissappeared. It did this same thing for all three simconnect installs and of course they didn't work in the end. I'm in way over my head on this at this point.
  17. Okay, at last something has come up. I clicked on the Logitech plug in and then the application. It says the program can't start because SimConnect.dll is missing from my computer. It says to download it again, but I've done this multiple times already?
  18. I'm sure that's what I should do, but I'm not very computer savy. I think I found the exe.xml file. I did a search and came up with: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="WINDOWS-1252"?> -<SimBase.Document version="1,0" Type="Launch"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>exe.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> </Launch.Addon> -<Launch.Addon> <Name>UT2</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic 2\UT2Services.exe</Path> </Launch.Addon> -<Launch.Addon> <Name>as_btstrp_config_manager</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>as_srv\as_btstrp_config_manager.exe</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> Which I'm guessing doesn't include the Logitech Plug In. I have no idea how to add the plug in or run it manually or even where it is on the computer. The install screen never told me any of that information.
  19. I received these for Christmas and have installed them as indicated in the PDF instructions. The computer (a Jet Line with Windows 7) recognizes both in the Devices and Printers section with a nice picture of each. A right click on each shows them ready to go. However, neither comes up in FSX. I have yet to get the acceptance questions when starting FSX and aside from a slight red glow on the Multi Panel screen, there's no life indicated in either. If I reboot the computer though, the Radio panel will flash it's numbers briefly. I've been watching videos and trying things others have tried but have had no success. I have asked Logitech to help and they've basically told me how to install it and where to find the plug in which I had already done. The plug in downloaded quickly but took twenty minutes to install which I thought was strange. It never gave me the prompt to plug in the USB cords that Logitech said it should, but after I pressed finish, I plugged them in and still nothing. If anyone has some ideas as to what I should try next I would appreciate it. Thanks, Bill Cox
  20. I figured that out about the key. Thank you again so much for your help. Bill
  21. You know, I once upon a time knew all of this. It's just been so long since I had a problem with it that I forgotten. You nailed it. Somehow the path had been lost. I did as you said and now RC is working perfectly. Now I just have to find my darn FSUIPC key to get the new version registered. Thank you so much for your help in this. 22. Computer/Local Disc (C)/Program Files (x86) Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X I hope that's what you mean. Again I'm not a computer guy and don't speak the terminology. FSUIPC: FSUIPC4, Version 4.90 That's probably pretty old. If everything's working I don't change it. Would getting the latest version make RC work? I'm thinking that I need to know what RC file I need to go to that directs RC to the FSX file. Bill
  23. I just tried it again and got through the IFR clearance and runway assignment before it binged at me and I once again got the error code. Bill
  24. Okay, I'm on FSX and FSUIPC4. I seem to remember looking in some of the FSX files Saturday looking for another problem I'm having with another program (SVS from Carenado). I do remember opening a file that turned out to be an RC file but I did not change anything. I just closed it. Still, I suppose I could have accidentally done something. I don't even remember where the file was. Perhaps you can tell me where to go and what to look for. Thanks, Bill Cox
  25. I use RC every day, no problems in years. This morning I get the weather and then try to get my IFR clearance and I hear a ding and that's it. I pull up RC and there's this message: Run-Time Error '76': RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code I'm not a computer guy so I have no clue what this is. Hopefully some of you do. Bill Cox
