Good evening everyone.
After having a couple of years out of flight simulation, I've recently decided that I miss it too much to carry on not participating. I've watched several livestreams and videos online of where the sims are now in early 2019 and they look absolutely brilliant! (Though i'm aware, using a lot of payware) That being said, I have browsed AVSIM for the last week or so and there certainly is a lot of information to take in. Especially surrounding the whole situation over FSX / P3D / XP and which is best. More of an endless tug of war it seems!
I look forward to meeting new people and getting straight back into it. Although, I think i'm going to need to rethink my software. The last time I flew I was using the standard version of Flight Simulator X, along with some very basic payware and the PMDG737. I never did learn any larger aircraft and regrettably I skipped straight over general aviation. So perhaps I should continue reading and see what people would recommend, though if anyone has any immediate suggestions they would be appreciated. Budget not being an issue (within reason, of course).
