  1. I use chaseplane as well with default settings without any issues! Are your chaseplane settings increased?
  2. Try refreshing the page? It should be there and pinned on top. In any case if anyone else has problems viewing the facebook post here is the simmarket link you can download for free: https://secure.simmarket.com/m.-a.-realturb-realturb-africa-and-antarctica-p3dv4.phtml South America and then Europe. Regards,
  3. RealTurb FREE version released, with not only the continent of Antarctica but also with the continent of Africa, which made it on time for this release! You can find more information at www.facebook.com/RealTurb Enjoy, Regards,
  4. It's easy to test, you don't have to fly a specific approach or to a specific area/airport. The concept is wind and terrain, you can set up some wind and try flying upwind of the terrain (where little or no effects are expected) or downwind of the terrain (where most effects are expected), being an approach of just flying around. It's not random effects, so you can guess where they should be found based on where wind is blowing and if there is terrain on that path. Regards,
  5. We understand that is an add-on impossible to showcase with screenshots and difficult with videos (as you still lack the feeling of actually flying it with the effects). With the demo everyone can give it a try and decide. Regards,
  6. No plans for an Xplane version at this time. It's not for higher altitude turbulence (CAT), it's for turbulence caused by wind blowing onto terrain causing the disturbance. How high the resulting effect is, is dynamically calculated from all relevant parameters. Yes Alaska is within North America Package. Regards,
  7. After Antarctica (free version) and South America plan is for Europe. Regards,
  8. Yes, the analysis used for the continents packages is even more accurate compared to the first 2 packages (ie. RealTurb Greek Airports and RealTurb Summer Destinations). In the last update, Greek Airports and Summer Destinations were also updated to the latest logic carried by the continents packages. There is terrain analysis everywhere within the coverage area (eg. over all NA) however you get the effects where conditions are appropriate with dynamic effects in vertical/lateral envelope depending on the other parameters. For example you shouldn't expect turbulence over sea or completely flat land. Regards,
  9. We might be wrong here as we don't own this product but from their documentation it feels like turbulence is linked to different wind values/gusts. RealTurb is a completely different concept linking wind to terrain and turbulence. For example on a very windy day with wind coming from the sea you won't get much of turbulence and the rest of the effects and you might get more effects on a less windy day but with terrain involved. This is more linked to high alt turbulence and CAT areas. At the moment RealTurb doesn't simulate high alt CAT areas. Regards,
  10. Yes, all come into play for a dynamic result depending on all analyzed parameters. This is true both for a lateral and a vertical envelope. Regards,
  11. Hi all, In an attempt to clear up some confusion for the RealTurb products here are some facts/details of how it works and the demo plans. First of all, RealTurb is not only about turbulence. If it was only about turbulence it would have been much easier to do a global version in the first place. It will also add realistic speed fluctuations, wind shiftings and wind shears! Wind shiftings and windshears are all done by hand in order to achieve a more realistic result (depending also on the area/terrain/distance to terrain/wind direction vs direction to terrain etc) and considering that most of the speed fluctuations come from the wind shiftings due to terrain, indirectly, speed fluctuations are also done by hand. Also keep in mind that 40kts of wind might be completely smooth coming from flat area or from the sea, and 15kts could even cause a windshear due to terrain proximity and wind blowing from that direction arriving at the aircraft with a lot of disturbance. At this point, we would like to thank once more the ActiveSky guys for helping/allowing RealTurb communication with ActiveSky in order to achieve these results. Without their help RealTurb effects would have been very much limited. It doesn't make sense to go any deeper on this as what follows will be more useful for you to judge. And as a final point before moving to the demo plans is the following: The following 2 videos are both with real weather at LDDU on 12th March 2019. In that day in real life many flights were cancelled or diverted due to strong winds at the airport. Also note for "Video 2" when comparing the same approach/wx with and without RealTurb, that in both cases ActiveSky is running and supplying the weather. Note: 1) Speed fluctuations on PFD speed tape 2) Wind shiftings on ND 3) Turbulence effects also translated on vertical speed 4) Speed and wind during the windshear encounter (Video 1) Video 1 Video 2 And now regarding the demo plans. RealTurb Antarctica is also in developement in parallel to the rest of the projects and is planned to be released in the next few days for FREE, giving the chance for everyone to test how RealTurb effects work so that everyone can have a personal opinion! Once released will be anounced in the facebook page www.facebook.com/RealTurb Regards,
