Well, that would be a work around I guess...but shouldn't ATC just give me a "Climb and maintain FL320" clearance if the program knows the restrictions exist or is this a case where ATC can just give me clearance to FL360 and then I can climb to FL360, no question asked, no matter the restrictions?

So, im just flying on the J6 towards Cincinnati and there is an Alt Restriction to FL320 on parts of that route. P2A knows that there is a restriction and it even plans with the restriction yet the ATC voice is nagging me to climb to FL360 anyway. How do you get P2A to understand that there are step alts?

The problem isn't that I don't get the gate I want, the problem is, that p2a doesn't understand me, when I say "gate", no matter how often I try to teach it.

My problem is, that I often want to get to a specific gate and then p2a just understands nothing anymore. 😂

The program just don't understands when I say gate...I really tried to teach it, but it is "eight" almost all the time, so now I pretty much default to the "Say it" function, if ATC doesn't get it after 2 or 3 tries.

If you set the decent rate in P2A at around 2000 to 2015 fpm your TOD should get relatively close to the one the Toliss MCDU generates. Ideally it should be around 1 to 10NM before the TOD the MCDU gives you, so you can just push the altitude selector and the AP does the rest. If the V dev still becomes to big you can always influence your v speed with the vertical speed selector.

Oh, glad I could help and thanks for the support. For everyone with the same problem: A temporary solution for me was to install the recommended scenery for KIAH from gateway: https://gateway.x-plane.com/scenery/page/KIAH For that scenery the import functions for taxi ways and gates works just fine.

Sorry for pushing this thread up again but the problem still exists. If you import the gates and taxi ways for KIAH from the default XP11 scenery Pilot2ATC just shows nothing. It claims that it has updated 200 something taxi ways but there are just none for the whole airport.
