Track IR is currently broke. It turns off as soon as you centre the view which makes Track IR completely useless. Maybe this will be fixed somewere next year.

I really hoped PMDG would abandon FS 2020 and would switch to DCS and create a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, or a Lockheed Martin C-5M Super Galaxy or a Airbus A 400 M. It will take years before FS 2020 is a stable platform for such PMDG fidelity. My recommendation: go DCS 🙂

I had to bind a button to the "enable headtracking". When i start a flight TIR is not working while the device is unpaused. SO i press the button for enabling headtracking and it comes alive. SO far so good. The only problem is that as soon as i pause the TIR by a button assigned in the Naturalpoint software, FS 2020 reset the view to centre. In that regard TIR is absolutely useless as i cannot press buttons with headtracking active, i really need to pause the TIR and looking at the upperhead, looking at the button i want to press i pause the TIR and the view resets into fron cockpit view...that really sucks so i do understand OP's post.

Flown a leg yesterday, landed, got off rw and parked the airplane and nothing happenend. No more bushtrips until fixed by Asobo. I miss the FLIGHT missions....

Seems i have solved the problem. I have reinstalled Direct X and Visual C++ 64 and it seems that the problem is solved. In regard of the Tobii, i am very interested in the device. Probably i will go Tobii after the TIR.

My TIR 4 is an oldy indeed but as i said, flying DCS or ED it works flawless. If the same problem would occur in other games i would buy the TIR 5. But i do not think its a problem with my TIR

The pause im refering to is the TIR pause button to freeze the screen. When i have to press button on the upper head i watch at the upper head and press the TIR pause function so i can easily press the buttons with my mouse without any miss click as i move my head.

Hi all, lately im running into problems with my TIR 4. I have downlaoded and installed the lastest Naturalpoint software 5.4.2.27545. I have downloaded the latest game update. I start FS 2020 and everything is okay. I can pause the TIR, reset, everything works fine. And while im paused and want to unpause, the organe pause led turn red and TIR stopped working completely. There is no other way than quiting my flight, FS 2020, restart TIR and FS 2020 and try again, which will lead into the same problem. For test i flew DCS and Elite Dangerous for hours and TIR works flawless. Anybody else having this issue and more important: is there a way to reconnect TIR while FS 2020 is running? Should i celebrate? LFying the CJ4 from YBBN to YSSN in live weather (BAD weather with a HEAVY turbulence at 440). I was about five minutes at cruise altitude 440, the CJ4 bouncing up and down, rocketing sideways in the heavy turbulence while i had fun! And there was this tiny freeze and without any message whatsoever, back to the desktop. Remembers me that i stopped flying IRF in FS9 as it was unforgiving with CTD's after a three hour flight 20 miles to go Back to desktop... I game for about 30 years now, i own about 300 games from Battlefield - GTA 5 - Portal -DCS - Farming sim - Elite Dangerous - X4 Foundations - Assetto Corsa - rFactor 2 and i i NEVER(!!!) had a CTD within ANY of the 300 games i own.....except for flight simulator FS9, FSX and now Fs 2020. And honestly, this CTD has drained all happiness away in an instand as i will not enjoy Fs 2020 anymore. Its not reliable. With Elite Dangerous or DCS i can play for about 4 to 5 hours non stop without any problems. That is the most important factor of a game: reliability. Im very sad as this is the end of IFR flying. I will only fly very short VFR flights that take max 30 minutes. Nice try Asobo and MS but my rating after 40 hours between 0 and 10 = 4. It looks good and that is it. Im sad... Flaps up

Thanks for the reply, yeah, in TIR the view is centered. Even when i ALT TAB out of FS 2020 into the Naturalpoint software and i press the center button, the view goes straight back to its dead center. Back into FS 2020 and the view is still off center. Meanwhile i have deleted all controller bindings (Saitek X56 HOTAS) and i am re binding them making sure nothing can conflict with the TIR.

Hello all, Hope you can help me with my Track IR problem. When i start FS 2020 everything works fine. I can look around and when i press the Center button the view resets itself towards the center. But somehow along the way the centerpoint shifts. When i press the center button the default centerview suddenly looks at the ceiling or far to the right or left. And i cant get the centerview back to the default position. I have to go back to the main menu, restart the flight and then TIR has its default centerview again. Does someone know how this happens and what i can do to re - "calibrate" TIR when this happens? Thanks in advance, greetings Boby

A mate played Rocket League on his mac with all options low and 20-30 fps. He said it looked beautiful and played very smooth while i played on max settings at 100 fps. Its all about personal preference.

Problem: FS 2020 is a console arcade platform. PMDG highly sofisticated sim plane builder. That does bot match and PMDG are not going to just make a beautiful plane with toned down word not allowed physics are the standard planes in fs 2020 have right now.

Luckily i did not spend a single dime on this game. Its a mess
