  1. Hi, I have recently bought Aerosystem737 software to display Avionics instruments in FSX on several displays. I am using two displays in Nvidia surround mode and two displays for my Avionics. I tried to use Aerosystem737 with my VA mcp and efis module but so far with no succes. According to Aerosystems737 You can control external hardware like the mcp using FSUIPC. Since I have no experience with programming I like to know if anyone else tried this. I have the latest version of VA interface. Thanks Rob
  2. Thanks Steve, everything works fine now. I forgot to remove both dll’s. I thought they were part of the FSX program. I uninstalled/ reïnstalled the libraries. This time FSX started normally. I brought the default Cessna to 2000 feet and the cloud shadows are back. I don’t like the original Colors of FSX. That’s why i installed SweetFx. Since reshade is not compatible with cloud shadows. Maybe I will try to install SweetFx later but right now i am so happy i have those cloud shadows back. DX10 Scenery fixer and cloud shadows are the best addon i have. Following the howto guide It really improved performance of my FSX Thanks
  3. I deleted SweetFx but now FSX won’t start after the splash screen. i read a topic somewhere that the d3d9.dll or dxgi.dll from SweetFx are not compatible with the one from FSX. I don’t know what to do now. Should i install directx9 again and then uninstall and reinstall the libraries?
  4. Sorry, i forgot, my ordernr. Is STE xxxxx Rob Zwang Thanks
  5. Hello Steve, I just downloaded and installed the new scenery fixer update and cloud shadows update. I installed them as you described but now I can not see the cloud shadows anymore. I also have installed Sweetfx 1.5. Should I delete the shader first? During installation a message appeared that I should remove the d3d9.dll file but don’t i need that for FSX to run? Thanks
  6. Thanks Tom, its finally working now. Every time I made a change in BMPDxt I checked the results in the viewer of FS9 (where you choose your aircraft). I forgot that you must close FS9 first to make the changes have effect. I am looking for the best gray now. I think 128x128x128 is a bit to shiny. I will try to edit the alpha channel with more complicated design later. For now I thank you for your help. Rob
  7. Hi, I have a question about alpha channels of aircraft textures. I am a newbie in modeling so I need some help. I have filled my airports with WOAI traffic but I would like to give some of the aircraft at my favourite airport a shiny look. First I changed the "model=no_refl" line in the aircraft.cfg file of the AIA models in "reflective". Next I installed BMPDXT.exe. From the help file I learned that you need at least DXT3 textures and add a grey alpha channel for reflective textures. But I can't find in the help file how to do this. I assume that most textures used in the WOAI packages have base textures with a white alpha channel or none. I first tried a few things myself but was not sure I did it right. So in BMPDXT I opened a texture from one of the aircraft as extended bitmap and I saved it as a DXT3 file. Next I selected create alpha template and apply alpha to image and saved the file. Then I loaded FS9 to see if the aircraft had changed but I saw no difference. Does anyone know what I did wrong or how to do this or where I can find a tutorial about this subject? Thanks Rob
  8. I am a newbie in multi monitor setup. I am using it in Wilco's 737 and Ifly and there were no problems with the gauges on a second screen. Never heard of Ezdok. I'm going to find out. Thanks Rob Zwang
  9. Hi, does anyone have problems with flying the 737 NGX in a dual monitor setup where the second monitor is being used for the FO gauges. After installation of an aircraft I usually use a second monitor for zoomed instruments like the PD, ND, CDU. After undocking the instruments I move them to the second monitor. But when I move the instruments into the second monitor they become black in PMDG 737NGX. I added some lines in the FSX.cfg file as described in the introduction manual (WideViewAspect=True) and this solved a part of the problem. Now the instruments are there but they are smaller then the windows where they are placed in. I do use 2 different monitors, the primary has a resolution of 1680x1050, the second 1440x900. I changed the resolution of the primary monitor to 1440x900 but the images of the instruments are still smaller then the window in wich they are placed. Does anyone has similar experience or knows how to solve it. Thanks
