  1. After some amount of playing with the controller bindings I made good progress with this, apart from a couple of things I still haven't figured out. However my current problem is something else. I bought the Flysimware C414 as I wanted an old steam cockpit twin. I got this from the MSFS store, not direct from them. It looks fantastic using the Quest3 VR headset and I'm excited to fly it. But, very frustratingly, if I use either Quest controller to grip the yoke, it slams either full left or full right. No control at all. If I push or pull the yoke, in VR it only moves in and out a few millimeters. Everything else seems to work fine. But without the yoke, it's unusable. I fly just using the controllers. No mouse or keyboard. All other, stock, MSFS aircraft I've tried work fine and don't have this issue. I've spent hours now flying the stock C172S just using the controllers no problem. Anyone else seen this behaviour? I've spent the last hour sitting in the cockpit at the end of the runway, unbinding anything not strictly necessary but nothing will fix it. I can't find the specific controller binding associated with holding and moving the yoke. The only thing I haven't done is delete and reinstall it. That's next I suspect. I've also asked this on the Flysimware and MSFS Discord channels. Fingers crossed for a clue.

  3. I am trying the Quest3 with MSFS at the moment. I usually use XPlane12 which works very well with the Q3 and just the controllers. I use the headset in a different room from the PC. I have a full suite of realsimgear hardware for the C172, mounted on my office desk, but actually, using the Q3, in my lounge, is a much better experience than sitting in my remote, dark office. Anyway, I'd like to reiterate the OP's original question. Has anyone found a good way to use the Q3 just with the controllers? Or, can you use MSFS in VR mode with the controllers, and a Bluetooth keyboard and (trackball) mouse linked to the headset?
  4. Tried using the beta release and had an immediate issue with X-Plane 12, Cessna 172SP, Garmin 530. It won't let me switch from COM/MIC1 to COM/MIC2. It just flips it back to COM/MIC1. It also auto sets the frequency on the 530 even though I believe I have this disabled. Where is the setting(s) that control how p2atc interacts with the comms/530?
  5. Flew VFR from Blackpool to Doncaster and back this afternoon. A couple of issues. Leaving Blackpool, all good on APR on 119.955. Approaching Doncaster all good, correct handover from Approach to Tower. 1) But leaving Doncaster, ATIS indicates RWY20, clearance requested for RWY 20, but clearance given for taxi and departure from RWY02. Actual weather suggested RWY 20 should be the active. 2) Approaching Blackpool, couldn't raise approach on 119.955. Not even a radio check. But spoke to Blackpool TWR on 118.40. This is incorrect. Blackpool should be just 119.955 unless told to contact TWR by ATC. Hope that helps. P2ATC is great.
  6. Does anyone know how to change the aircraft registration? I've looked everywhere and can't find it. I presume I entered it when I first created the entry.
  7. Sorry, I know you're not tech support for RealityXP! But I'm trying to buy the 430, having purchased the 530, using the coupon. But it wants an order number for the 530, and I can't find that anywhere. Any ideas?
  8. Even if I report it as safe, and tell Win11 that I want to keep it anyway, Windows refuses to download it. Not sure what to do now.
  9. Trying to buy the reality-xp 530 and 430 simulations for xplane. But if I try to download the installer, I get a windows warning saying can't download - virus detected. Anyone else seen this?
  10. I know this has been asked before, but if people keep asking, maybe it will inform your thinking. Littlenavmap is great (and I sent some money) but as a VFR flyer on X-Plane, not being able to set the height of individual legs, and get Tod etc. for each leg, is frustrating. I fly somewhere which has departure at sea level, mostly over lowland terrain, but a mountain ridge along the way, means the whole flight has to be planned at the peak height. Which isn't representative of the real world. Please add individual leg altitude, please!
  11. Don't know if this has been suggested before but using pilot2atc in x-plane mostly vfr and struggling to get Windows 10 and hence pilot2atc, to work with any of my microphone devices (low/no volume) it would be handy to be able to map my 10 most used phrases to the keyboard numeric keypad so I just hit that key to 'sayit' with no further actions needed. Just a thought!
