I can start and interact with all the other checklists just fine. I am having trouble getting the taxi checklist to start. The voice commands "taxi check" and "we are clear on the left" are recognized in green at the top. There is no response or activity after that. If I say "line up check" that gets recognized and the FO continues with callouts as normal. Is this normal behavior or is something not working?

If your parking brake is stuck on turn on the anti-collision lights and ensure your hydraulic pumps are on. The anti-collision lights control the wheel chocks and the chocks being removed will allow for the release of the parking brake. You just might have to jiggle the brakes for a bit after you push the parking brake button down. I came here by searching maddog parking brakes so if anyone else ends up here well now ya know.
