  1. Hi...

I have some problems with my sim. I have many read on any lecturer or watch the youtubers about my sim and how to tweaks or overclock to get high FPS on my sim.

Ok, before that, i want to explain my spec:

    1. Procie i5 9600K @3,6Ghz

    2. VGA RTX 2070 super Work The Frames

    3. Mobo Asus rog B365-G

    4. Ram 16gb @2666mhz dual channel

    5. Monitor Benq RL2455

    6. Cooler master hyper 212

Watch on the youtube, many people take the spec for this: i7 4th generation, gtx 1080, 16Gb of ram. What i've to do for fix the FPS on my sim? Thank you so much

  2. Hello Everyone,

I have a problem with the shortcut. I want to change the shortcut for Autopilot ON / OFF, Turn off the alarm when Autopilot is turned off, and Switch Engine 1 and engine 2 (ON / OFF) but I don't know the names of the ones I mentioned above.

Maybe anyone can tell me in detail?

AS controls the WEATHER - period. It reads the current weather metars and injects that into the sim. ASCA and EF are essentially CLOUD and SKY textures (they do more) that are loaded into the sim according to the AS weather. Envtex is also a cloud texture(and more) program. SO, to get the best effect -

Use AS for weather and then take your cholce - ASCA + Envtex or EF.

I prefer AS with ASCA and Envtex but others prefer EF.

No one can tell YOU what YOU will like better or what is more realistic to YOU. Since AS was designed to work with ASCA + ENVTEX you get the most versatility there.

    Vic

Ohh i see. If I combined AS + EF, is it compatible? I like to share my flight to youtube, so i need realistic graphic but it's all up to me.

Keep in mind that if you're using Prepar3d v5 with EA/True Sky enabled, then using sky/cloud textures will be void. Since EA uses it's own system to render the sky and clouds.

It's for Prepar3D V4.5. I think its late, but you know, prepar3d v5 also expensive

EA is amazing. But I would rather use asca.
tried it and was not satisfied with envshade and without it.

ide would love to have tomatoshade with R&D preset for v5 .

    oh well.

    mike

What is function of envshade? Is it more realistic runway texture or something?

The most effective way I've found to eradicate confusion is to take it one step (add-on) at a time.

I highly recommend that you start with ASP4. Fully understand how this amazing weather generator transforms the weather in your sim.

Then, learn what REX SkyForce 3D will do to enhance the atmosphere. There are a few YT videos you can watch to get you started.

Finally, learn how changing shaders affects the way your sim looks. This is a critical component that should not be overlooked.

    Best of luck.

    Jose

Thank you Jose for your suggested. I really needed suggested like what you say, hehe.

But, i'm still confuse. What exactly does active sky do on the sim? What exactly Rex EF do on the sim?

If I'm read on the other source. Active sky only change cloud texture, it means active sky not responsible for changes in the weather. While Rex EF, they're many responsible, like changes weather, changes atmosphere, changes terrain texture, changes airport texture, etc. And then envtex its just changes the texture of cloud. So, can you explain me about that?

I really needed suggest, what should i choose to get perfect combination? AS + Rex Sky cloud 3D + envtex? Or AS + asca + envtex? Or Rex EF + Rex Sky Cloud + Active sky? Or AS + Rex EF + Asca + envtex?

    Thank you.

    Best regards,

I would skip ASCA and stick to AS + Envtex and eventually EF, but last one value is questionable, so it is up to u.

Yes, ASCA is for texture only

So, thunderstorm, rainy weather or etc, What should I use?

  6. 1 hour ago, Beardyman said:

AS is much more detailed and accurate with real weather representation, it is more mature and serious app with ton of options.

REX is on other end, and they said their weather app will not be improved.

Also be aware that for example in case of PMDG ( maybe also others ) only AS is weather source for their weather radar to work.

Regarding visual changes, u can buy REX Env Force and combine that one with AS - although i do not see significant visual change or improvement.

For sky and clouds i prefer REX Sky Force which also works hand in hand with AS as weather engine.

So which one should I choose? Can the AS be combined with environmental forces and ASCA? then whether Active sky can change the weather when we are above the clouds? Active sky and rex environment force can changed the weather constantly? Thank you for your suggest.

I want my simulator looks like realistic. Like a storming, rainy, and etc. What is your suggest? Active Sky or REX environment force?

  7. Good Morning From WIII,

I have read a lot about rex environment force and active sky along with active sky cloud art but I still don't understand the difference of them.

Can anyone help me to explain the differences of them?

I want to get a flying experience that has realistic weather such as weather changes, texture of rain water, wind texture, etc.

It might look like it's late to buy among the three, but I'm trying to improve my game and try a more real environment.

Hey guys it seems that on my Aerosoft A330 the cockpit windows seem to be much more dimmed or darker than on aircraft such as the PMDG 777 or 747. I have tomatoshade with HDR enabled and for Brightness:1.00, Bloom:0.10, Saturation:1.00 (I have tried without HDR and default shaders). The windows on the A330 are extremely dark and make the cockpit seem like it is drowned in a sea of shadows compared to other videos of the A330 in Youtube. I have not got cloud shadows enabled. Thank you very much in advanced

I have same problem with you. So what i can do with the preset for more clear cockpit? I looking for in youtube but i cant find it (thats video what you mean)

    Thank you so much.

  9. Hi...

I see any videos on youtube of P3D with chaseplane Replay. They can recording the simulator with the replay system. I try to this system with A330 in my simulator. I might be operating the system correctly:

    1. I paused my flight A330 shortly after take off, when the altitude 5.000 feet. And i try to ran the replay system, when I rollback to view my take off in any angle of camera, my alarm flight is sounded

    2. When i returned to the active flight, my plane was like not set up correctly (Flaps change, Gear down, and other problem like that) and finally my plane crashed

    3. But, when I try to another plane like F22 Raptor, replay system was correctly with the step 1 and step 2.

I'm assuming that the correct method for replay is to pause the active flight, bring up replay, then use the replay feature, once done with replay bring the marker forward to current, unpause and continue flying?  Perhaps, A330 have issues with replay system?

Big thanks for the reply my topic..

    Cheers,

It does have ATC by default however theres a bug in P3D v5 where P3D gives a DXGI error when opening the ATC window. There are only 2 other ATC related add-ons i could think of, and that is VoxATC and Pro ATC-X. Both of them haven't been officially updated to v5 but both of them can be made to work in v5 without much effort.

I have some problem with pro atc/x in my p3d v4.5. There is no sound. please help me.

  11. Hi, Good afternoon in here....

I have problem with no atc sound and pilot voices but all the sound like engines, FS2crew, GSX all normal but its no atc sound. The atc text box is available but if i select the ground or tower or Atis it is not sound.

I've try to setting output sound on the setting but it's not resolved. I've try to change output from speaker to headset but it's not resolved. I've tried to uninstall and install again the simulator but it's not resolved.

Thank you if you wanna help me in these problem.

My settings are well balanced and suits my flying - slow and low.

In case P3D u have to experiment a lot to find that sweet spot, which depends on hardware, software and ur visual preferences - that is why there is no universal advise.

Go with ur settings to lowest level, fly with ur most advanced addon and judge.

If u feel that everything is smooth go with ur settings a notch higher and check.

It is tedious way, but the only one.

What is the highest setting you set? Btw, thank you for your advice.

i always install P3D on different HDD.

About lags - multiple possibilities, in general i would say that ur settings are too high and GPU cannot handle, thus lags.

In my case for smooth sim it is crucial to limit framerates and enable vsync.

By the way - i have almost same spec as yours

Your setting is high? Ultra? I use default setting but it's so lag.

  14. Hi....
