  1. Hi all, I've been looking for a 30hz capable monitor for P3D. I've looked far and wide and can't for the life of me find one which would suit. I tried using the monitor finder on displayspecifications.com to no avail also. I'm looking for a 2560x1440 monitor @ 27-32 inches. If anyone has one/knows of one, would you mind letting me know? Cheers, Oliver Mitchell.
  2. 1920x1080* is what I meant 🤣 I am very tired... And because it is outside of my budget 😞
  3. Hi, Currently looking at purchasing a PC exclusively for flight sim. At the moment it will be for flying the FSLabs airbus series in P3D V5, with the obvious upgrade to FS2020 at some point in the near future. I'll be running P3D on a single monitor at 1024x1024. I'll be getting the 10700K, but I'm stuck deciding between the 1080ti, 2080s and 2080ti. What does everyone think? I've heard that the benefit from the 1080ti to the 2080ti is marginal in P3D, and the price difference is huge... Thanks, Oliver Mitchell.
  4. Thanks for the help everyone! @Mace Lucky you should say that! This afternoon I ordered the PC. I went for the i7-10700K with a RTX 2080S. As I say, thank you to everyone for my help. I'm super excited! Cheers, Oliver Mitchell.
  5. Hi @aldridgem! For a while I was veering toward the 10700K but now that you have said this I'm quite relieved to be honest! Perhaps I should reconsider the 10600K then! Are you able to suggest whether the 10600K would bottleneck an RTX 2080s? Cheers, Oliver Mitchell.
  6. Thanks @lownslo! I think I'd be happy to take the 2070s with the 10700K anyway as I've got the budget for that. @Jude Bradley Likely above my budget 😞 Perhaps an OC i7 10700K plus a 2070s/2080s would be appropriate? Would the performance gain on that from the 70 to 80 be big enough to justify the extra cost (£200)? If i elected to go with the 2070s, would that bottleneck the CPU? Cheers, Oliver Mitchell.
  7. @micstatic No, I'm not well versed in building etc - this is my first dedicated P3D computer. I don't think I would have the budget for the 2080Ti which has slightly more VRAM than the 2080s/70s/60s, which obviously limits me. However, I am happy to run with lower settings if need be as, whilst running sliders to the right is nice to look at, I do value the actual flying a lot more than the visuals 🙂 Cheers, Oliver Mitchell.
  8. Hi all, Currently looking at getting the following system from PC Specialist: i5-10600K OC (4.1GHz up to 5.1GHz) RTX 2070 Super 16GB RAM Corsair Vegeance DDR4 3200MHz Any thoughts? To reduce the cost I wouldn't mind taking the RTX 2060 Super but would this bottleneck the CPU? How much of a performance drop could I expect between the 2070s and the 2060s? And what gain in comparison to the 2080s? Also, is the i7-10700K worth the cost from the i5-10600K? They have similar speeds when overclocked and although the i5 only has 6 cores and the i7 has 8, I'm not sure this would translate into a huge performance gain in P3D? My aim is to be able to fly the FSLabs A320 series at 30FPS throughout Europe, on medium settings with Active Sky and likely ORBX Global. Cheers, Oliver Mitchell.
