MSFSXX....crash to desktop / ATC gone whacky (non responsive on IFR over 30.000' altitude...
Have been using, and recalibrating the above since 8/2020 with relatively good success. Key, of course is the minimum requirement stipulated by MS for your desktop and a decent graphics card. While AQSOBO Studios are doing a great job with updates and increasing an already huge file, one needs to make sure that all other programs are shut down while running MSFSXX.
ATC and IFR over 30.000' is another problem all on it's own. Filing a flight plan and using GPS coordinates with ILS or RNAV routing at destination airport it happens more often than not with no response from ATC (one misses the usual chatter) on flights with a ceiling of up to 43000 feet. My last few flights ended not well, unless you request lower altitudes along the prescribed route and in accordance with the values given. This works relatively fine, but is a lot more work for you on your LG MultiFlightPanel which needs to be adjusted constantly on the descend to your chosen airport. This phenomenon does not appear to come up on IFR ILS/NAV flights under or just above a ceiling of 20000feet. One can always hope that Asobo realizes that problem and offers a fix.
Would love to hear from anybody who has experienced the same sort of problems
