  1. As stated before, modeling the MLK monument, Vietnam memorial, Korea memorial, Audi Field etc... would be a lot harder then just adding Black Lives Matter to a street. Hopefully they will get around to the others, but they still did an AMAZING job. And they are from Poland, not Russia.
  2. Ok maybe this should be locked... And notice they did not add in the 'Defund The Police' which was added in later (was not their originally when I took my 13 year old mentee down there a while back the day after they painted this, though you can see it in Google Maps now). I think in this forum is fine to comment on the uniqueness of this inclusion and recognizing that their is a political aspect to it, but not to debate the BLM movement itself. That is not what this forum is for. Also, for those who do not know DC, one of the major reasons for this is not necessarily support of BLM, but anytime DC Government can stick it to the Federal Government they will. There is a VERY antagonistic relationship there that has gone on for decades (hence the 'Taxation Without Representation' on the DC license plates). So the fact that a huge BLM is 2 blocks from Trumps house, which Bowser (DC Mayor) knows ticks Trump off, so they (DC Gov't) definitely likes sticking it to Trump. Just part of the uniqueness of DC!
  3. Well that's what exists there now in real life. So they just might have wanted to get it as realistic as possible and that was easy to do (as opposed to adding in Audi Field for instance, that would take a lot more work). Think about it that way, it's not a political statement at all. And no, I was trying to NOT start a political argument. I was just merely pointing out that I found the inclusion of something this new in the scenery pack interesting. That is all.
  4. Not making a comment on either side (this forum is not for political discussion) but I do find it interesting that the (absolutely AWESOME) Drzewiecki Designs Washington DC scenery pack actually includes Black Lives Matter plaza. It's interesting because that is very new, and some other things that have been around longer (such as Audi Field and the addon for the Kennedy Center) are not yet modeled (still 2D construction sites). So I assume this was a conscious decision that they manually added in. Regardless this is one heck of a great scenery upgrade (look at how much better the White House is in the pic) but I just found the BLM inclusion interesting.
  5. Definitely worth the purchase, it is night and day, amazing job! All the Smithsonian's look great, White House awesome, Capital Fixed, RFK and Nats Park are perfect. However there are a few issues still, hope the get to them (not complaining, just want to make what is great better) - Vietnam Memorial is not modeled (still just 2D), no Korea or MLK either. - While the odd building on the Mall by the Capital is gone, there are still some extraneous buildings on the Mall by the Lincoln Memorial. - A few new things that exist in real life don't exist yet in this. Audi field and the new Kennedy Center addon are still construction sites, while they are complete in real life. Still AMAZING! Shame on Microsoft for not offering this from the beginning.
  6. Ah, can't download, too many people downloaded! Anyone have a mirror for it?
  7. If you bought through Steam it's in your steamapps folder and editable like normal. If you bought through the Microsoft store its in the hidden WindowsApps folder. But you cannot edit them at all (why I bought from Steam) https://www.auslogics.com/en/articles/where-are-games-from-microsoft-store-saved-on-windows-10/ has more general info.
  8. Found some interesting things as far as detail in certain cities. Look at my manual cache here. My caching of Washington DC is same or larger in all sizes (low, medium, high) then my New York City cache, yet NYC is almost 10 times the file size of DC (11.19 vs 1.38 GB). That must mean that NYC has 10x the amount of manually built, detailed buildings vs. DC (and in DC I can see only 2 manually built buildings, Pentagon and Lincoln Memorial). Interesting. The other issues is the fact that the manual cache is useless now. After making these I went back in to take the screenshot below. It took my an hour (NOT and exaggeration) to just open the manual cache, and then move and zoom to get to the image below!
  9. My TrackIR works fine except for the fact that even if I sit perfectly still the camera jumps forward and back all the time. Just tons of constant little movements, I tried using the TrackIR tool, set it to Smooth, fiddled with axis settings, but nothing changes. It's unusable in it's current state. Does anyone know how to make it 'settle down' and not jump in and out all the time? Thanks, - Asterix
  10. Run TrackIR, update the program (button at top I believe), re-run it, then run MSFS.
  11. I didn't time it, but yes, it is a looong load time...
  12. Well I was hoping Washington DC would look a little better at release... No such luck. I made a little video poking a little fun at how bad DC looks now. I am sure it will get updated at some point...
