  1. Those game pass subscribers are what's carrying MSFS... so you really should drop this senior citizen attitude and thank them for allowing you to sim.
  2. Wow, a company developed a product they were contracted to make and that was sold to consumers. This is clearly unprecedented and deserves high praise.
  3. Oh nice, another thread that devolves into a "look at how old I am". Seriously, nobody cares.
  4. Amazing how the sentiment around here is "try not to touch too many things and enjoy the scenery". The sim so far is a dud outside of the pretty visual.
  5. This seems more like an optimization to me, as rendering these buildings in super high detail would bring the sim to a stuttering halt.
  6. 2020 has definitely lost it's initial "wow" factor (it's still a good sim). The fact that the SDK wasn't ready by launch is an absolute joke and the community should not let them off the hook. They rushed the sim to market and by the looks of it, it will be quite a while until the SDK is in a state that developers of complex aircraft can even begin. Even in the weekly updates, the same SDK progress is repeated (is this even progress?). It's a great VFR simulator but that's about where the advantages end.
  7. The SkyPark isn't trying to be an airline simulator or a virtual airline. While there are plenty of long distance, airliner contracts available in The SkyPark, it really shines for those of us who want to actually fly an airplane into cool new grass strips, navigate mountainous terrain, and deliver supplies to remote villages that need them. The progress comes from gaining a solid reputation by successfully completing jobs which lead to more lucrative contracts. It's a fun experience and the future is very, very bright.
  8. At some point you will have to do some of the work yourself... you know, like a real pilot.
  9. It seems like people are confused about the fact that there is no "working for a company or airline". You are a self-employed, contracted pilot that is working for yourself. Not sure what type of rank or title you expect to be given, that's what your reputation is for.
  10. https://medium.com/@parallel42/release-the-skypark-has-arrived-for-microsoft-flight-simulator-2020-124317efc1a4 Looks like this should be available soon as early-access.
  11. There will be a standalone version that does not require a subscription. Also, a good preview:
  12. Is it broken? Yes, but not what you're having issues with. The controls are different so you will have to change/get used to them. This sim has way worse issues, so be prepared.
  13. For good reason... and SF county would probably do the same if any league were running.
