Thanks Bert...wanted to see if I was not the only one..... And others...please stay on topic. You are entitled to your opinion or frustration. But posting them to my post doesn't help me.

Ok in two days I have experienced two cases where the Avionics have locked up. Once in the Cessna Caravan and once in the TBM930. In the first case I was about 70nm out from KMCO and my Garmin displays locked up. I could do things like change Altitude and Vert Speed...but it just wouldnt display in the screens. And my MFD was locked in a 15 degree bank. After about 5 min they started working again. Second time in the TBM same thing happened as with Caravan. But I was also in icing conditions and ice building up. So I went to turn on anti-ice and none of the switches would move. But I clicked anyway and anti-ice turned on (even though switches showed off position). On PC...current NVIDA drivers, Windows 10 with current updates.

I think the biggest issue is that folks do not realize you need to be on the "X52 HOTAS" controller and set the filter to "Unassigned" (on the left hand side of the controllers frame) in order to SEE that you can map the old X52. Then once you bind the buttons you want make sure to hit F11 and SAVE these bindings. I think I spent more time trying to figure out HOW to get into and modify that stupid .xml (that I could never modify due to M$ locking the folder), then I did just mapping the key bindings.

Hello all.... I can also say I have a X52 (old silver version) and am having the same issue. After pulling my hair out and finally figuring out how to get into my WindowsApps folder (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Input) so I can find my X52 .xml file.... it seems I cant copy or edit it. I get the access denied message.. Why the heck M$ would lock files behind Admin (and I am admin on my machine) I dont get. So how the heck can I modify this file so I can use my joystick???
