  1. Clean install works best. Always uninstall the old ones and then clean install after rebooting when it uninstalls and then again after the new one installs.
  2. Thank you all for this very helpful information. With little surprise I decided to get a prebuilt PC (I know, I know, but since I built one last, too much has changed, especially in cooling). Ended up with Ryzen 7 3700x, 3070, 16 mb DDR 4 3600 Ram. I’ll need to change out the power supply and add a second ssd drive. Question: can someone point me to the hardware forum? I am having a hard time winding my way through the headset reviews I’ve found (didn’t get speakers so need to route sound and atc to the headset). My eyes are bleary and the info is so contradictory. Thanks again.
  3. Sorry for the dumb question. Haven’t played flight sims in 20+ years. I’m now on Mac but am excited about the scenery in MSFS (especially VFR low and slow). To play if though, I’d have to (1) build or buy a PC (2) wait for X Box or (3) play X Plane 11 on Mac. im interested in your advice. Spending 2k for a hobby might or might not be dumb. I hope to learn a320 and others but that’s a ways off. Would you mind sharing your Ionian on (especially those who are flying MSFS and who have experienced X-11? Thanks
