  1. Do you happen to be using SU9 BETA? The twitchiness with AP seems pretty much across the board. It is especially bad in turbulent air. Smooths out over the Pacific. I've had the twitchiness with AP in four different aircraft so far... and just now porpoising at lower airspeed on approach.
  2. Make sure that Auto Mixture is set to ON in the Controls menu prior to selecting the C414 in the World Map. There is an issue with engine logic for turbocharged aircraft in MSFS; the only way around that right now is to set Auto Mixture to ON. Hope that helps!
  3. Fuel burn is nearly 60 gals an hour in cruise; s/b 35 gph or thereabouts. Cruise conditions: 16,500' @ 30" MP and 2400 rpm Had the Low Fuel annunciator blinking at me the last 40 minutes of my flight.
  4. I've noticed high fuel burn as well. Confirm that the fuel computer doesn't move off of 206 gallons.
  5. That explains it. Atmospheric pressure drops about one inch per thousand feet of elevation, hence 25" of MP when flying out of the Mile High City. 🙂
  6. You wouldn't happen to be flying out of Denver, would you?
  7. This is the regular GTN. Kinda changes the game... first time I've used them.
  8. A few additional notes regarding some minor glitches... and a work around: The GNS530 seems only partly functional. The dual GTN750 panel, on the other hand, is really great! The right-hand screen, however, doesn't want to allow changes to frequencies once in flight; the knob changes the left hand screen only. Fuel consumption seems a bit high compared to what I've been able to find online. Not too bad, but maybe 20%-25% too much? (Might have something to do with the MSFS mixture glitch?) For those comfortable with editing dot cfg files: in the engines.cfg file if you change the line that reads fuel_air_auto_mixture=0 from zero to one you will not have to change the setting in the Controls screen in MSFS. That way, you can leave the Auto Mixture setting in the sim "as is" instead of having to change it each time you fly. (Credit to BostonJeremy77 on the MSFS Forum for this tip.)
  9. Yep... looks like that. Only difference is I did not get the GS annunciator to light up. I clicked the ENT button twice to get the light to go off; that coupled NAV2 and the needles followed as they should. Discovered this last night on a short cross-country from KCRQ > KPRB. Initial "Shakedown Cruise." 🙂
  10. Yes... AP lower pedestal and ALT is selectable on the panel. I flew the approach right off the plate (I've done this countless times at KSBP) and no joy. I'll try it again; good to know it worked for you just fine.
  11. Just got back from a circuit to and from my two local strips, trying to capture the ILS on Rwy 11 @ KSBP. The HSI indicates, but the GNS530 does not capture the ILS. I am using the default Asobo GNS530. Kudos on the flight model: this aircraft flies a very stable and clean pattern; landing is smoooth as butter!
  12. The GNS530 GPS mode does not couple with the AP. The flight plan can be entered as usual, and can be used as a moving map, but GPS course capture is inop at this time. VOR capture works fine; I have not tried shooting an ILS approach yet. That's next on my list. The flight model feels nice and stable. Landing is very smooth, flying "by the numbers." Overall, a nice model. Good work.
  13. Agree 100% The sound package is surprisingly good, and the plane feels very solid. It's a pleasure to land as well. Flying it in the pattern at my "local" is a delight. Can't really say that about any other twin in the sim. If this had been released prior to the Seminole I would not have the Seminole in the hangar. It's unlikely I'll fly the Seminole much, now that the Seneca is available and is such a nice aircraft to fly.
  14. Exactly. I also had time in a brand new Tomahawk. I opted the fly the C150 (old enough to have the flap handle between the seats) whenever it was available. Still, the Warrior is a very nice aircraft.
