Hi @Blasb No I have not tried Simuflys CIVA. As far as I know it is for p3dv4. I tried also integrating panels and gauges but there are some ascii dll and gau files that I think have to be adapted too...Please let us know if you succeed with that! Good luck!

Hi @sloppysmusic There is a decent manual including checklist. There is a jetliner and a professional version. We are dealing here with the professional version. Jetliner works as far as know pretty well in p3dv5 I am happy if someone succeeds starting it up in p3dv4 or p3dv5. Good luck!

yes indeed. In the meantime I think i will stay with the jetliner in p3dv5. It is a good comprimise as the startup works and the rest is ok despite being less advanced as the professional one. The thing I like the less in the jetliner is the flightplaner, if you want to use nav mode you have to load the fligthplan at the beginning. There is no INS or similar device....but I can live with that...It would be better the professional one in p3dv5 but it has too many issues: startup not working, flight works in principle ok but when I inserted a flight plan in INS i have some CTDs....All in all is in my case less stable than the jetliner

I have tried many things but it does not work...I have the impression the startup of the VC-10Prof is not working in p3dv5. I have the impression that something small is missing. Does anyone know how to change the startup procedure in p3dv5, is it possible to change it?

Hi If there is someone reading this having experience piloting or at least with the startup procedure in VC-10 I can suggest that we connect online via Teamviewer or a similar tool and go through the whole procedure. That should not take so long. Please let me know. Objective is to determine if JF VC-10Prof in p3dv4 or p3dv5 can be started from cold and dark following standard startup procedure.

Hi I agree, I hope that @adam77 will read this thread and could make a short video about the essential (I dont think we care at this stage much about no smoking signs and lights, etc.) steps for starting up the engines from cold and dark in JF VC-10Prof for p3dv5. In the video on the top by Adam I am not completely sure if I missed a step in the whole video duration. I am still checking it.

Hi @Blasb and thanks for the interesting exchange. Well, as far as I understood in @adam77 video, he did not set any fuel in engine 1 and 4 and that was the reason that these engines 1 and 4 did not start. We should ask him, but I think he put in these words as I said.

As far as I know Adam @adam77 is using the VC-10 professional version in p3dv5.4 and he succeeded starting up the aircraft. I tried in p3dv5.4 with the professional version and could not start it up from cold and dark. I would like to know what I am doing wrong and that is the reason of my post. I tried also in p3dv4 with no success. I could, however started up the jetliner version. Have you tried the professional version in p3dv5 or in p3dv4? My question is about the professional version.

Hello what a beautiful bird the VC-10. I have recently seen here in a nice video that VC-10 Professional by Just Flight can be used in p3dv5! Adam thanks for that! It was well known that the VC-10 Jetliner by Just Flight in p3dv5 works. In fact, I could install the professional version (using the installer by simmarket) and it seems that it works in p3dv5.4. However, I have had some issues with the startup procedure from cold and dark. Control+E works pretty well. To start up from cold and dark I followed the example in the manual, also the checklist in the manual and finally the detailled description in the video but the engines did not spool. It is probably that I am doing something wrong but I wonder if someone with more proficiency than me will succeed to make it run. I dont think that it is an issue with p3dv5 as I could not start it either in p3dv4. I could start the JF VC-10 jetliner version but not the professional one. If you succeeded starting up the VC-10Prof in p3dv4 or p3dv5, would you mind writing down the main needed steps in a form of a kind of check list (I dont mind lights and stairs and so on...) for engines to start? THX!

Thanks @Noel for the indications about framerate increments, that can be very usefull. Concerning the flickering issue with FG, I have not realized it in my case but I will have a more detailled look next time I simfly. In my case it is most of the time a compromise between good and bad things. I agree there are some showstoppers...I am not quite sure I understand the effect you mean. I think it might help if you put a video here and maybe someone can advice something. Gook luck and BR Ry

I use FG with TAA and I dont get as far as I see any visual aberrations. I saw some ghost effects with DLSS but not with TAA, have you tried in TAA?. I am in Win11 but I have not tried this incremental frame rate lock. That could replace in a way AutoFPS, right? How is it defined the incrementaly change, if you have a link at hand please let me know, otherwise I will google about it, Thx

Although it is a relatively old post taking into account SU15 and so on, it still worked for me. Even with good machines like mine (RTX 4090, i9 13900K) I had some freezing and few stutters, specially close to big airports like EGLL or KJFK with much traffic. I have optimized many things (AI traffic basically with AIG, FSLTL and FS traffic, updated Addons, VSYNC and limited FPS in msfs, AutoFPS, PL) and that all have contributed but this hint by @Noel is excellent. It caused to me the smoothest experience in msfs I have ever had. I think this advice can help many people to get a smooth experience. The possibility of switching it on and off is also very practical for the whole flight, activating it in dense areas. I set 120Hz in my monitor and limited RivaTuner (what a wonderfull tool!!) to 60FPS (FG). I have already had good experience with PL in the pst. I am trying to use it with AutoFPS to limit LOD in the approach. I would like to thank @Noel very much for sharing this knowledge, I appreciate it. Thx Ry

thanks for the suggestion I just tried twice. I pressed verify setup and AIG crashed twice... here the log files: LOG_AIG It is strange because I think I have all the files but AIG keeps downloading and the size is now almost 60GB...

sorry for the repeated messages above, I dont know what happened... I have some many backups but after the 2023 release they did not work anymore...I dont know why. I keep pushing repair and it will not be repaired...

Specially, because I already downloaded it in the past but there are apparently some corrupted files AIG manager does not like....

it depends on PC and users needs. In my case I have some stutters and freezing with FSLTL and it demands more FPS.

Hi thanks for the reply. You know the result of AIG traffic is fantastic. I like the quatlity and variety of aircrafts and the tool performance, really top AI traffic generator, I think the best. Many thanks for that!!! I have been using it for many years. It is only the way to install it that it is kind of "unpaved road". I am dealing now with corrupted files and have to install everything again. I was looking for some guidance and so on. There are many youtube videos and a manual that cover some parts. I would appreciate to have some official guide covering everything from AIG to MSFS. I wonder also if it would not be possible somewhen to upload the 40-60GB aig-aitraffic-oci-beta file in some cloud to short the whole process of downloading aircrafts. Thx!

Hi I refer to this very nice guide and I wonder if this is basically still valid after the AIG major model update in August 2023. I have an old version, would like to update it and I see that the software is much more user friendly now. However, I want to be sure that the settings in MSFS are the same as before: "Launch MSFS and set Aircraft Traffic Type to Off (so NOT to AI Online or Offline!), AI Aircraft Traffic Density to 50 (or whatever you like), Ground Aircraft Density to 0 (to avoid random traffic!) and Use generic aircraft models (AI traffic) to Off." Could you please confirm it to me? THX

Concerning stutters in the approach there are many youtube videos. It helps to adjust the settings according to your PC, deleting the caches and updating the addons! Sometimes it is also a background software killing the FPS. In my case I realized that an old version of FSrealistics caused some freezing and stuttering. After updating it was ok.

I can confirm it. In the traject EGLL (Asobo) - LFPG -EGLL (Asobo) with FS Traffic I got the same problem: no traffic in EGLL, immersion killer 😞. That is to say it is not a problem of FSLTL or inibuilds. What I also saw as a kind of go around is that after trying unsucessfully to reset FS Traffic when arriving EGLL, then I started FSLTL and astonishing EGLL was filled with aircrafts 😉That is to say for the one of you that have both FSLTL and FS Traffic use one first and the other for the return to see if it works for you in this way. For me it dit.
