  1. Finally received my components so just now setting up on the bench a brand new system, MacMini M1, HoneyComb Alpha, HoneyComb Bravo, Saitek pedals, (holding out for the HC Charlie), Logitech Mouse, Logitech Keyboard, one 32” IPS monitor for now, future want a second, would love to have 3 panels, not even sure if that’ll be an option with this machine. So it’s looking like I’m going to be short on available ports, a quick search revealed I’m mostly likely going to want a powered hub, not savvy with this so is there a preference or more desirable options? Are things like reliability, consistency, latency, speed, setup, or other issues something I should be concerned about? Any other input you guys/gals have? Thank you, Paul
  2. A little more research your correct, G-sync is of no benefit to current M1 Macs, the M1 Apple stuff is not using Nvidia, (looks like the GPU is part of Apples M1 architecture?..) Thank you.
  3. Just now learning about G-Sync while in the market for a monitor, firstly, am understanding it correctly that the G-Sync feature "synchronizes" the refresh rate of the monitor to match what the game is playing at which reduces/eliminates screen stuttering... Am I interpreting this correctly? Second, that G-Sync "compatible" is NOT truly G-sync? If not, does this G-sync "compatible" variant bring any benefit to the table vs a comparable specced non G-sync monitor? Third, being as I am going Mac Mini M1 chip with XP, (go ahead and beat me up...), do the same rules and benefits apply regarding G-Sync? Thank you, Paul
  4. Newb, sorta, asking for help, poking around the forum and search engine finding some great info on monitors but not specific to my application/set-up/mission. Machinery thus far... Mac Mini w/M1 chip and 16Gb ram, will be running X-Plane 11, looking for a good bang for the buck performance monitor for desk top flying, possibly a second monitor in the future if that enhancement brings enough value to the mission without compromising performance too much. Mission... will fly mostly GA for practicing procedures, pattern work, etc to help w/maintaining proficiency as a Private Pilot SEL, will have yoke, pedals, and throttles, (poking about the forum for input on those currently for this machine that brings the most realistic feel on a moderate budget). This is a simple desk top set up, my son and I will also do some informal exploring/buzzing about the world as well. This machine will also be doing some photo and video editing at novice to low level amateur level, my son will dabble in MineCraft on occasion as well. I am considering LG 27GPL83B". Price point is good, not sure if for this price, what compromises it brings to the table with my set up, input? Thank you in advance, Paul
