  1. The add-on is still not useable for me. I was waiting for an FDE update but the plane is very “jerky” on the vertical axis. In level flight you can see those jerky moves up and down, almost as if the planes freezes for a moment and then resumes at a different angle. It’s been like this since release and the developer acknowledged the issue and pretty much said that’s what it is for now. it’s a great add-on, especially with the TDS GTNXi integration but in terms of flying not so much
  2. Love that part about X-Plane! It gets deep into simulating forces, aerodynamics and the part about flying that actually matters. No accident it's FAA certified. Austin is such a unique character 😂 "... shirtless guys playing volleyball ..." and I learned that F-14s don't have batteries.
  3. People were asking for more tests of updates before release and Asobo gives the opportunity to do that. In-house tests would be preferred instead of using customers as testers but it's voluntary and the pool and amount of data flowing back is probably more insightful and shortens the test phase as well. Just want to say thank you to those participating and trying to help improve the platform.
  4. I'm thrilled for the release and I'm very aware this is an alpha and that the focus of the video was the aircraft itself. I still look around and try to judge the state of the sim itself, hence the disclaimer that it is an alpha.
  5. I agree, the puddles stood out. Hopefully it's more dynamic or subtle and not just rain=puddles everywhere Looking at minute 21:25 and later towards the landing it can be seen that the rain texture covers taxiways, aprons and the runway and it sticks out. To be fair it also is representing the alpha stage I have to say and so much can and I'm sure will change. Still excited and looking forward to the release. My initial thought is that the footage looks closer to XP11 than I thought.
  6. Just posted not long ago by Michael Brown on YouTube Evolution in X-Plane 12 Early Alpha
  7. I really enjoy using the FBW, and I used the FSLabs in Prepar3D and loved the aircraft but moved on from that platform, and I'm looking forward to the Fenix rendition of the A320. FBW provides a handy EFB with tools to calculate and assist with the descent and if executed right, the process is seamles. I commend the team for putting the focus on the FMGS and VNAV. The following is an interesting video by 320 Sim Pilot, a real A320 pilot. TCAS! Vital System Explained What I find interesting is how FBW implemented the simulation and 320 Sim Pilot explains and demostrates very well on how important it is to disengage the flight director, and how the autothrust system is implemente with the different laws. It just shows me that there's true "simulation" being added and developed. And it is all freeware and done with a very profesional tone and manner.
  8. Thank you for the NOTAM @Watsi and the continued development of the aircraft. It’s exciting to see what future updates will bring, what the pan is and what’s going on in the background. The FMGS and VNAV updates sound very nice. You guys keep elevating the aircraft to new levels
  9. I know this topic is from last year, while searching for information related to descend and approach procedures, especially to RNAV and STAR I came across this post and the following FAA presentation. Might be helpful to some virtual CRJ pilots. OPD Challenges for Regional Jets
  10. As @uwespeed mentioned, the Log.txt that you can find in your main X-Plane folder would be a great start and usually tells you or us what might be the issue.
  11. Just like the fuel technician, as soon as I hear the steps behind me in the cockpit, I tell myself not to turn around because he's not real, he's not there 😂
  12. ….But wait , there’s more ! version 1.2.3 is now out 😀
  13. Hot Start released update 1.1.0 and added several new features next to squashing some bugs as well. The list is quite extensive. Make sure to do a thorough pre-flight check 😉 Hot Start Challenger 650 Update 1.1.0
  14. That's my assumption as well. Judging by the commitment of other developers like ToLiSS and Hot Start making their products available free of charge for X-Plane 12 for existing customers, I'd assume the same for Rotate.
