  1. Hey everyone, I've been seeing how one of the many popular comments has been about night lighting in 2024 and that folks want MS to adjust it (which I agree). I figured I'd share some pics from this evening when I was landig in Vegas. You can clearly tell how faint night lighting is in the real world when it comes to airports. And the images here shows KLAS. So not a small airport by any measure. But in the real world, airports from a distance look so faint in their lighting. Especially runway and taxiway lighting (from far away). Once you get within a couple miles, it does start to get brighter but definitely nowhere near the brightness you see in 2024. Anyway, figured some people here might find this interesting. https://imgur.com/a/A84KrM6
  2. Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I cannt get the i7 config on their website, they only offer the i9 for the higher series GPUs. However, i did read more into the CPU issue and it seems as if the problems only lie with the "K" variant. Do you know if this is correct as well?
  3. I am looking into the black friday Alienware R16 deals and I am extremely tempted to buy their RTX 4080 package with the i9 14900F CPU (they don't offer the Ryzen CPUs). All the reviews I have seen when it comes to these new Alienware desktops have been primarily positive. People speak of good cooling, however, I don't know how many of them use it for flight sim. I was wondering if anybody had an R16 and what your cooling is like? When you look under the hood with these desktops, everything seems so crammed in that it seems impossible there would be any efficient cooling and that makes me nervous when using it for the purpose of FS which takes a lot of CPU/GPU power. Thanks for the help!
  4. Since about a week ago, I have been having this issue when loading up a plane into an airport, and I start panning whether in the cockpit or external, it lags and jumps. It isn't smooth at all. I know my FPS are more than enough because I have an FPS counter which usually shows a consistent 45 fps. I have done the whole cache removal thing, both Nvidia and MSFS cache. I even have a tool called "fps4msfs" from steam which removes all necessary cache to enhance MSFS performance. I have found myself using that each time before I open MSFS to try and help with this problem. It works sometimes. Then if I restart MSFS and load back into an airport, I get this problem again. I for the life of me cannot figure out what is causing it. I have an RTX 3070, i7 12700K, Vsync on, TLOD 100, objects LOD is 100. It definitely feels like it is something in the background that is causing it but I just don't know what because again, sometimes i load a flight and all is smooth. Then other times, it isn't. I took a video from my iPhone so you can see what I am seeing. I appreciate any help! Thank you
