  1. Ok that's what was confusing me since I didn't see L or H or B in the component variables drop down. I didn't know what an O: variable was. Thanks for the explanation and help.
  2. I'm trying to find a way to switch between FMS and MAN on the Speed Mode knob. I have checked the behaviors in developer mode and located the position value for the two switches. However, I don't know what kind of variable "AUTOPILOT_Speed_Mode_Position" is and I can't find it in the sim events or sim vars in AAO. Does that mean this is an LVar?
  3. Thanks Mark for the advice. It looks like it was a port forwarding permission on my router since my local machine is connected via Ethernet but my ipad is wireless. They are on the same router/network, but I had never heard of port forwarding before researching this problem. The past 4 flights have worked perfectly.
  4. My first handful of flights worked perfectly. Then about a week ago my iPad would lose connection after about 20 minutes and not reconnect during the flight. The aviaServer still functions correctly on my hosting computer and I can use the left or right CDU in Firefox just fine throughout every flight. My hosting computer is connected to the same router as my iPad. I have used both firefrox and safari on the iPad. Safari is what was working for the first few flights. I have tried to use both the QR generated code and the url. I have uninstalled aviaServer, restarted computer to clear the cache and then reinstalled. When I clear the Safari data and restart my iPad, I can mostly get it to connect again for a few minutes. But it never lasts. I get an error in Safari saying "server stopped responding." I have read through the FAQ. My license is blue for aviaCDU FS2020. Is there an iPad setting that I might have missed? Maybe a security setting? Any other suggestions? Thanks for any help.
  5. I've recently set up the CDU's for the PMDG 737-800 using the WebAPI. It's worked perfectly through my local browser. However when I try using my iPad I'm having disconnect issues. The iPad will function correctly for about 5-10 minutes. Then the next few key presses are heavily delayed before it finally stops responding all together. The only way to get the iPad to connect again is to restart the iPad. Then it might work for another 5 minutes before disconnecting again and I get "server stopped responding." My iPad and local machine are on the same router. I've tried both Safari and Firefox on the iPad. The local machine works for the entire flight, so I'm guessing that means the port 9080 firewall permission is working correctly?? I've checked the troubleshooting document, the PMDG fmc document, and watched a couple youtube videos to make sure I've set it up correctly. I'm on version 2.81 of AAO and version 1.22 of the CDU software from Flightsim.to. Have I missed a step somewhere? Or have I missed an iPad setting maybe? Thanks for any recommendations.
