  1. Hello! I'm having the hardest time deciding between the Wingwing 15EX throttle or the Stecs standard... Wingwing Thoughts- The base! I love how many switches and buttons it has! I feel like I need this as I'm interested in Jets, wwII planes, Space (Star citizen) and helicopters. I'm going to need all the switches and buttons I can get! This is my biggest issue with the Stecs, I don't like the base. I don't like the look of it, it just doesn't seem too VR friendly and doesn't have as many switches. I was tempted to get the stecs mini and then a control panel from wingwing or Virpil so I'd have switches. This ends up costing more than the WINWING throttle by itself. Some pros for the Stecs- looks very comfortable! Love all the customizations! The detents looks to be the best implemented I've seen thus far. (I've heard the winwing detents are hit or miss and can be frustrating to get right, some reports of the lift kit breaking.) So to recap, I LOVE the wingwings base, imo it's far superior to Stecs base. BUT! I LOVE the Stecs throttle grip and the way they implemented the detents. I appreciate any help with this! Thanks! If it would help to know the the rest of my setup; I'm going with VIRPIL VPC constellation ALPHA. Depending on what I do for my throttle I may go with two of these with VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Base, left stick would be set up with the z extension for space flight. OR to save some money, I'd go with one VKB Gladiator NXT EVO Omni throttle for left stick and the the constellation alpha for my right stick, undecided on this. I already have the Logitech foot pedals. This is all going to be mounted to my Monstertech chair. Still figuring out what all I'm getting there.
  2. Hello! I’m looking at upgrading. I’m currently looking at winning or Virpil. From what I can see both are quality. Virpil is definitely more expensive, but also more “smooth” and accurate from the reviews I’ve seen. The thing that I really like about Virpil is the extension they have for their sticks as I’m planning on getting the monstertech chair with the center cut out which this would be perfect for. While Winwing is probably the best bang for your buck stick. I fly EVERYTHING, which is my issue. helicopter, planes and spaceships I want something that has the “dead stick” when flying helicopters, to be more like a cyclic. HOWEVER this setting needs to be easy to change back and forth. I don’t want to have a situation where I’m flying helicopters have a buddy ask to fly jets or spaceships and then it takes me more than 5 mins to change the stick over. Preferably I can make these changes in less than a minute, which may not be possible but is why I’m here. From Winwing I’m looking at this with their extension - https://wwsimstore.com/view/goods-details.html?id=343 From Virpil I’m looking at one of the Constellations also with their extension may get a 2nd constellation down the road for space sims and the cm3 Base, so I can get that dead stick for helicopters. Though from what I’ve seen it is not easy to change this setting on this stick, anyone have experience with this? Just the stick and base costs more than the bundle from Winwing, if anyone has experience with both these companies please give me your opinion on which is better and why. Thanks everyone!
