  1. @RedPxl Thanks Much appreciated. I am certain I looked stupid, but for what its worth, the Documentation tab on the pilot2atc site has a download for the PDFS (I assumed this was a newer addition and its been a while since I installed Pilot2atc and wasn't looking to install it again) and they only contain the 1-6 documents. I re-installed the app just to get the documentation and now I'm good, but it would be great if that zip file could be updated on the site to avoid users having to do that.
  2. @EagleSight I went to the site and redownloaded the pdfs, but it was still just the basic 6 that it came with and I looked around in other areas and couldnt' find what you referred to. Do you have a link to where you're seeing that?
  3. Ah, gotcha. That makes sense. Yeah, I will take a look at that pdf and did recommend it on the vid I posted in a pinned comment. I have used FS Desktop once or twice to have pilot2atc *in* the sim, but I don't actually need the fps hit and frankly it works great for me without the interface. For my own purposes, I get almost as much out of it without having the interface visible. That said, I don't allow the ATC to change my route and that might be something to do in the future. I hadn't thought much about what I could be doing because I was pretty satisfied with what I had, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it some thought.
  4. I will add it to the pinned comment on my vid. Much appreciated! I am not sure what you meant by "it was noticed in Fauxflights video that Pilot2ATC was not being used in VR" as I only play in VR and I was just saying at the top of the video that my demo was going to be clumsy because I was not in VR when recording it. Monitor play is a foreign thing to me and my setup is not good for it, so it makes recording vid tutorials tough for me.
  5. As the AI programs are releasing their pay structures and users are getting sticker shock, I decided to put together a soup to nuts setup video that shows users how to get Pilot2ATC configured in the way I've been using it and covers things like Makerwys that took me a bit to workout a half year ago when I started using the app. I have a really good experience with it in the sim, and its frankly the response times for the AI systems that puts me off more than the pricing models, though I can't imagine the bill I'd have doing 1-2 hour pattern touch-and-goes. In any case, users here might find a few things they didn't know, or might be able to tell me a few things I don't know, so I thought I'd share. Cheers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Eo42Ll-Cqc
  6. I am a VR player and today I put together a vid that may help others (and its useful to anyone setting up pilot2atc)
  7. I want to use this and love it, but it causes my motion platform to burp little jerks throughout the flight at even intervals. Like every 5 seconds I get a nudge.
  8. Emailed that to you along with screenshots for my original issue relating to FSLTL and Pilot2ATC giving guidance in reaction to traffic it detects. Thanks much!
  9. Thanks! You are correct. I didn't get a freq change and my VFR flight following was quite silent all the way to KSNA. I did make altitude calls and get responses in line with my past VFR flight following calls. I will dig around and see if I can locate it or how to get the log data to you. I had noticed the lack of a change (in addition to the traffic issue I was mentioning... that has been an on-going issue). For what its worth, I've never had an issue with the VFR Flight following dropping off like that, nor IFR. That was an anomaly for me.
  10. Okay, after a couple of sessions and a few weeks, I can confirm that my pilot2ATC is not giving me calls in reaction to my FSLTL traffic. I've been flying patterns more recently out of KSBA Santa Barbara airport to increase my chance of traffic in sight or on the runway/taxiways. I can see the traffic in my pilot2ATC map (which is why I thought my prior response was the case... its aware but not providing calls in response), but I'm not getting calls relating to them in any way. I have "Airborne traffic alerts on" checked. Is there anything else I need to look for or should be doing? What are the necessary conditions for responses to injected traffic (I am aware that it can not control that traffic)? This is a flight from Sunday through the Los Angeles airspace where some calls would have been expected.
  11. Well spent some time testing today and I can confirm both that FSLTL provides VFR traffic and that Pilot2ATC is indeed aware of it. Such a life-saver of an addon. Really glad to have pilot2ATC.
  12. I'm suspicious as to whether its working with FSLTL (and by that, I mean being aware of the traffic and giving instructions to my plane based on their position). I did probably 3-4 hours of pattern landings over the weekend with FSLTL running and didn't once get an ATC instruction based on the traffic around me. At one point an AI TBM was on the runway. I own FS Traffic so I might give that a try just to see if it behaves differently. I won't change to it as I strongly prefer FSLTL, but should give me some sense as to whether I should be seeing something differently. For reference, this is one of my flights.
  13. In the paid version of Sky4Sim, you get PDF uploading, so if you have the notifications pane in Sky4Sim showing the conversation and upload the PDF of the grammar phrases for in-game reference, you shouldn't have need of the FS Desktop. Its a pretty sweet little setup. I find that once I file my flightplan in the Pilot2ATC window, I have no need to leave VR.
  14. I'm a year late, but the paintkit can be found under the "free extras" tab here: https://simworksstudios.com/kodiak-100-wheels-for-msfs.html
