Game Bar should record at the same resolution as the screen, so for a full HD screen your should have 1920x1080 video. Is it the FPS that you need to increase?

This is a little late! Pausing updates for a week, and restarting the computer a few time will generally solve this issue. At worst a in-place Upgrade will do the trick.

Updates specific to MSI products come through the MSI Live Update utility - if you have it installed. Windows Updates will only include third-party component drivers such as Realtek audio drivers. It's worth remembering that a large number updates are to patch security vulnerabilities.
