I am fairly confident in my knowledge of how to both save and retrieve each of the 10 available Custom views available for each cameras.cfg file stored in the Airplanes folder for each individual aircraft. This process is the same as it was in 2020! Apart from the fact I am disappointed that the available number has not increased, I have found that many of the default aircraft contain various random images either within the cabin or external even though, in most cases, there is no camera.cfg file present. I have have had limited success in saving a new set of views for these instances and was wondering if this is common, and if so does anyone now where these ‘phantom’ images are coming from. Also, do we have to accept the offerings of the 10 views for both Toggle Instrument View’s and Fixed Camera Views? In each case there seems no flexibility and most of the images are not usable as they either points the cabin floor or some other random place. Assuming that each of these camera sets also generate from their own camera.cfg file, and we could generate 10 views via the Cockpit Custom camera system and overwrite the camera.cfg files the the Instrument and Fixed views before generating and saving our Cockpit views? Effectively giving the owner of the sim control of what that wish to view, rather than the Developer offerings of someone having a bad day? Additionally I have found they may of my control presets which have the ‘set as default’ enabled to not load these default presets upon restarting the sim. The ‘set as default’ is still highlighted as enabled but just not recalled. Is this a known issue? I feel assumes such as above effect the basic functionality of the sim and should be addressed so all simmers move forward together but we seem to be addressing a specific issue with a particular gauge or instrument in career mode, for example, and my concern is that this basic setup stuff is not being addressed? Happy to be told otherwise but also appreciate any thoughts on above!
