Howdy, fellow plane sim folks!!!
I just recently decided that I wanted to get into the hobby of flight simming being that I'm mildly disabled (Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus; Arthritis; T2 Diabetes; ) and I'm not able to get out and play music for a living like I did for nearly twenty years with a local band by the name of "Irons In The Fire" and I got to realize a major dream while I was in the band when we were asked to open two shows for the legendary Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives in Hiawassee, GA on July 17, 2008.
I've been a big fan/enthusiast of helicopters (Bell 222 A/B) and jets (any of them) since I was a little kid and actually wanted to be a semi-truck driver like my late father (he died at the wheel of the truck he was driving when he and my Mom were on their way home from what was to be his final trip). And semi-trucks are a big fascination for me as well as helicopters and jets and I'm excited about getting into this crazy (and costly) hobby of flight simulation!!! A late aunt of mine used to take me and a cousin up to our local hospital when we heard that the helicopter was coming in to take someone to either Asheville or Atlanta or Chattanooga and helicopters have held a fascination for me ever since then.....and I watched "Airwolf" every single night that it was on television (I hate the fourth season so don't ask me about it)!! I've always wished that I could get the opportunity to sit in the pilot's seat of a Bell 222 A/B or a fighter jet but, so far, neither of those opportunities have come to pass.
I'm thrilled to be here and I appreciate the owners letting me join and I look forward to cyberly-meeting some of my fellow forum members while I'm here!!
Take Care/God Bless,
Tony Trout
