The mention of Kickstarter was simply to provide context for my project, as I’m in the early stages of developing a high-fidelity Bell 407 replica pedal set for flight simulators. However, I understand now that this wasn’t the right place to bring that up. That said, I am still very interested in getting your input on the pedal travel of a real Bell 407. From what I’ve researched and modeled, I’m seeing around 6 inches of travel, but I’ve encountered conflicting reports, with some sources mentioning up to 12 inches. I’m hoping to get some feedback from those of you with first-hand experience with the pedals or even from those who might have access to more precise measurements. My focus is on making them as realistic as possible. One thing I’m trying to confirm is the actual pedal travel distance in a real Bell 407. Based on my CAD work, I’m seeing about 6 inches of total movement, but I’ve come across sources suggesting up to 12 inches, which doesn’t seem to match my design. Does anyone have first-hand experience with Bell 407 pedals? Or better yet, any drawings or measurements that could clarify this?
