  1. My CNC3 Brampton – Caledon Airport scenery released. You can download it at https://flightsimulation.romandesign.ca/ in Lite (free) and Pro ($15) versions, and you can also download my free scenery enhancement packs there for Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville and Niagara areas. For free downloads you just add to cart and check out, it will only ask for a name and an email, so I could notify you of updates. No address or billing information is needed for free or pro. PayPal checkout will only engage for a paid version. I've been working really hard on that one, and hope people will enjoy it. Toronto area certainly needs some love and care in MSFS. I hope my efforts are not in vain and increase immersion, realism and enjoyment of the area for many fligtsim enthusiasts. If there is enough interest and demand, I will continue my work for other Toronto area airports. CNC3 Brampton – Caledon Airport Pro is a meticulosly detailed scenery of a well-known local GA airport in Toronto area, where many of GTA enthusiast learn to fly and enjoy flying for many years. It was designed from scratch for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Version 1.0 – Official release version CNC3 Brampton Caledon Airport is a well-known local GA airport in Toronto area, where many of GTA enthusiast learn to fly and enjoy flying for many years. The airport is famous by it’s signature blue GA hangars with red roofs and mostly open aircraft pods, and a large open-air tie-down parking area. The original generic scenery looks unrealistic and has many issues, including the lack of the parking area, “baked-in” aircraft silouettes, unnstural grass texture etc. This scenery is replacing 28 generic hangars with a custom 3D models and model variations and includes a total of 38 hand-modelled buildings, as well as plethora of custom and stock objects carefully placed to increase realism and immersion. Here's a quick demo video (BTW I composed the music too, for the opening of my prog rock band gig): FEATURES 38 Hand-modeled 3D buildings throughout the airport 28 signature blue semi-open hangars with red roofs modelled Custom start parking spots on the apron (Ramp 11) and inside the hangar (Ramps 14 and 15) Improved and redrawn taxiways, added missing lines and markings Corrected and masked textures and terrain features Multiple aircraft models parked in correct parking areas and inside signature open hangars Main airport building with parallax windows and signage Hand-modelled ultra-detailed small airport beacon on the main building’s roof, replacing unrealistic default large beacon tower The Great War Flying Museum hangar with parallax windows and surrounding area Museum exhibition building with signage 3 accurate customized WWI fighter airplanes rolled out in front of the museum hangar, as they often are during public events – Fokker D1, SPAD S.VII, Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5 4 Seasons Aviation building and area Welcome airport sign with embedded props and surrounding vegetation Custom-made Canadian flag Custom aprons and aircraft parking, with signature tie-down parking spots Realistic Fuel area with appropriate equipment, personnel shed and correct night lighting Custom night lighting of hangars, illuminating the planes inside and hangar sides Authentic streetlamps around the main building Parked cars, airport vehicles, painted car parking spaces and blocks, picnic tables, fences, vegetation and other random objects added at correct spots for more realism Hand-drawn custom helipad at accurate location Few remaining autogen hangars replaced with more suitable models Wooden walking bridge between the main building and apron, including 2 decorative boulders and picnic area Added a windsock at the correct position with night lighting Several animated people around the airport

  5. As some of you may know, I have developed an aircraft for X-Plane called Chase's MD-80. Well, I should say "am developing." I have decided to use this blog to help me communicate to the community my progress and my experiences. I don't have much free time, so I am not sure how this will go, but I will certainly try it out. Here goes. Everyday I seem to wake up and get my MD-80 Project on my mind. I think to myself, "Okay, I'll just go finish ____, and then I'll be done for the day; I can just go fly after that." Well, that hasn't really been happening recently. My routine has been more like: get up, drag myself to the shower, throw on some clothes, shuffle up the stairs, turn on my computer, launch blender, edit ONE thing in the 3D cockpit, launch X-Plane to see if it worked, go back to blender and repeat these steps. Each day I seem more inspired to follow this patter as I start to see the light at the end of the tunnel more and more clearly. Of course I then take a look around and see all that's miss from the plane that I still have to research, model, and texture. But that too is rather inspiring. I want to finish it so badly that I am making a real effort to do as much as I can everyday. I think I have made some serious leaps forward from my last release. That brings me to my next dilemma. I don't know how I should proceed to release this in the future. I mean, in the past I pretty much thought that as I fixed things or added things, I would pack it up and call it a 0.x release. I started off this way too. But as I got into some serious modeling, I reconsidered. I am leaning towards holding off the next release until it is "finished." By that I mean completely modeled and mostly functional. A 1.0 release if you will. It just doesn't seem to make sense to pack up an incomplete aircraft anymore. I am glad I did it originally though. I got lots of positive and helpful feedback from the community that way and also established myself as an MD-80 developer. Now I am stuck though. I have a 0.2 plane sitting in the downloads section of the X-Plane forums with something like 1600 downloads that is well out of date. The flight dynamics are primitive and certainly not characteristic of an MD-80. The fuselage is see-through. And the 3D cockpit is barely textured and almost completely unusable. It is nothing more than a preview. I could pack up what I have now for a release, but how do I clean it up without robbing these good people? I don't want to drop the 3D cockpit as it is the most improved area, yet still unfinished. Plus it would be one LESS thing than what the previous release had. That's no good. I really am struggling. I want to let them have a plane with the correct flight dynamics and such, but I don't think I am ready for that. Right now it looks like I am going to have to wait. I really think I am done with releasing things early as a preview. It makes a mess for me from a developmental standpoint. Now I understand the long wait times at PMDG Until next time, Chase PS: I'll try the picture posting thing now B)
  6. Hello, i purchased PMDG 777-200 in a shop online. I'm unable to make software update because when i loggon on pdmg website i only see the 777-300 expansion package. When i start operation center, it says to download full base package to make upgrade. How can i do ? Regards, Mathieu
  7. Hello, I bought the PMDG 777 Base package like one year ago. Everything was fine but last Saturday I formatted my computer (not before uninstalling every simulator and add-on) and when I reinstalled it the problem came: I think it could be that I opened the PMDG Operations Center before opening the simulator to register the installation but the problem is that I can't download the 5.1 sound package... I searched in many forums for a possible solution but no one got the same problem as me. I openned a ticket on the PMDG support page, they answered propossing me to "reinstall" the PMDG Operations Center by removing everything except the updater (the solution that everyone knows) but it didn't work. I haven't got an answer for this ticket from this Tuesday but I think it's understandable because they may be so busy with the updates for Prepar3d v4 and that's why I open this topic. I add a video of my problem to check exactly what happens and my Operations center log.(https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u7bs2iegatlmd9s/AAAhEShCIKm3FDKk-Jum8Ugja?dl=0) Thanks in advance, Jose Manuel. PD: Using Windows 10 64-bits
